Help!

Im due to fly out this monday and I can see that the weather forecast is terrible for orlando! thunderstorms and rain every day! I new there would be rain but would the rain be heavy and frequent and ruin our trip at the parks or am i just panicking?

Forecast called for storms every day we were there a few weeks ago--anywhere from 40% to 60% chance. We had rain one morning until around 10---just slept in that day.One day we had a storm got through while we were at the parks at around 4pm. We had done everything we wanted to do that day so we just went back to the hotel. It cleared up about an hour later. THen our last night we went back to Universal around 7 and a thunderstorm came up about the time we walked through the gates of US. We RAN to a restaurant and ate a leisurely dinner(unfortunately, we were behind 20 other people in line who had the same idea, LOL) for an hour and then the monsoon finally ended. A lot of people left the parks, so we had it almost to ourselves. That ended up being one of our best times at the park.

Bring some of the cheapo ponchos in with you in case it starts to rain. The rides don't shut down unless there is lightning close by. You can always go into show or one of the covered queues. Most of the time, Florida storms are over within an hour and it cools down for a half hour.

Daily thunderstorms are part of summer in Florida. The good thing is...for the most part...they are widely scattered and don't usually last too long. They can be severe though so keep that in mind. The storms shouldn't ruin your trip as long as you remember...if it's hot and humid in the morning, there's a good chance you will get a thunderstorm that afternoon.

we have been caught in some real doozies! However - it is still HOT ... and the rain never lasts too long. So - even if you do get wet ... it does not impede your fun unless you let it! Ponchos can definitely make life more comfortable .......It's Disney! You are going to have a wonderful time no matter what the weather brings!
