hi has anyone stayed at the sheraton safari LBV what was it like also the marriot village springhill suites thanks for all replys

We stayed at the Sheraton Safari for one night before checking into ASMo on our first trip and would not recommend it. After I booked I realized that they allowed pets. My kids have allergy problems so I called to let them know and they promised a room where no pets had stayed. We got there and check in was fine and fast. We got to our room and it smelt horrible of wet dog. It was so strong there was no way we were staying in that room allergies or not it was gross. DH went down to the lobby and they assigned us a new room. We got all our luggage and moved it unassisted to our new room which also smelt of dog just not wet dog. There were negetives and positives to the hotel. Positive- kids loved the pool, the grounds were beautiful, the breakfast was good Negetives- lobby smelled super strong of amonia, rooms smelt of dog, had AC problem in second room and took them a while to come fix it, rooms slightly worn, their little store in the mall was really cheesy and seemed out of place in an otherwise nicelooking hotel (if you stay here you will see what I mean it's hard to explain). Would I stay there again? No, maybe if I didn't mind the smell of dogs so much.

We stayed here a couple of years ago in a Safari Suite and found it very acceptable - I did not think it had a strong odor of any kind. Will have to agree the store did not quite fit in. Can't compare it to your other options as i have not stayed in them. here is a link to tripadvisor - it does seem people have varying opinions of this hotel.
