Sorry the title is so generic. Is there anywehre on the forum where I can find hair and makeup referrals, photographers and some basic quotes. I hate to beg for info but with the search being down it makes it hard to find information :)

I am getting married in front of the castle and thinking about the grand floridian for my reception, second choice yacht club. I have tons of family in the area but I am living in St Louis so cant just go research everything on my own. I am sure I will have some of my family help with some researching for me but since you all are planning or planned a wedding already, I trust your recommendations more.

Also can you bring your own decor in for reception? I asked the lady when I called today but she didnt really seem to know much... most of her answers were "you can discuss that with your planner" which frustrates me since I havent set an exact date yet they wont answer my questions.

The decorations depend on where your reception is at Disney. Some locations allow it and some don't, which is probably why she couldn't give you a straight answer :) where's your reception?

For hair/makeup, I'm using Beauté Spécialé. A lot of brides on here use them or Patricia Lejeune, but there's tons of options!

I'm using Disney photography and Trinity Wedding Cinema for videography.

Hope this helps!

Ah I see where your reception is now! Yes, I think you can use your own decor in ballrooms!

Hi!

I am also getting married in MK - at least very much trying to.. You probably figured that out that it is very tough process to get park for ceremony)
Feel free to message me anytime with questions..) I am already doing research for a while..
When do you plan to get married?

Indoor non-park locations usually allow your own decor. There is some funny rule about favors- like Disney can only place on the table up to two. And if you have more, somebody from your party should do it.

If you get married in MK you can only use Disney Photography, at least for ceremony. If you plan to do DP in Epcot, I would advice just to stick with Disney photographer for the whole event, it will save quite a lot.

Also I would need someone to do hair/makeup on site EARLY like 6am since the ceremony has to be at 8

Most of the local cosmetologists will come out early, although some charge a fee. I was very happy with Patricia LeJeune's work for my wedding and four subsequent events.

One tip about searching: You can enter your search string into Google with the limiter "site:disboards.com" and get results that are just as good or better than the DIS' own search function. :thumbsup2

Thanks for the info

Yep, Patricia arrived for our MK/EPCOT photo shoot at 3:45am! I think she was even early! LOL

awesome!! How many people did you have get hair/ makeup done? I would really only need me, MOH and maybe flower girl

She came and did me early in the am, then came back (we had a 2:30pm wedding) and refreshed me, did my mom, DH's mom and my MOH....

Also with a wedding in front of the castle, do they let your guests stay. In the park or escort them out after the ceremony? I want to have a dinner reception like I said earlier but was hoping to eat lunch at be our guest with some of my guests since we will have annual passes I know it's not an issue for us but what about my 3 year old if we don't buy her an annual pass the day we get ours?

As far as I know, everyone is escorted out. You are not permitted in the park in your wedding attire during normal park hours.
