Help with WDW..... bathrooms and a 9 year old

Take him in with you. Most definitely. We have been told that some years ago now, an English family, known by my Mum, lost both their children. The little boy rode a ride on his own and never came out, his father went to look and then the mother followed suit, after handing a baby to another woman in the queue - neither children have ever been seen again. So my advice would be to take him with you - you can never be too sure!

Yet another Urban Legend. This never happened.

We just came back from WDW and practically every time I was in the bathroom a mom and her son were in there too.Ages varied. It didn't bother me in the least and it didn't seem to bother anyone else either. If it were me, I would definitely take him with me if there wasn't a family restroom near. Don't chance it.

I remember when my boys refused to go with me, they were about that age. Of course there were two of them, so I would send them in together. I also did the whole foot in the door routine, yelling into them. You do whatever makes you feel comfortable, I certainly have no problem if a boy is in the restroom. I have no clue why anyone would care, we all have stalls with doors. It's not like WE are standing up at urinals with anything hanging out! Have fun on your trip.

I've read this type of thread before...I live in a different universe because I've never given it a thought at WDW......
I'm with you!::yes:: My DS8 usually goes in with Dad but I wouldn't hesitate to send him in on his own. He goes on his own everywhere else unless I have some reason to be worried.

Yes, that is how It's a Small World gets all their little dolls! LOL! Seriously, that story is not true. But I do say take the kid where ever you are comfortable. It wouldn't bother me a bit to see him in the ladies room.

I brought my 3 yo into the restroom at the Cracker Barrel in PA and someone actually said to me "oh, i'm not used to seeing men in the ladies room"...

Hello...he's 3.

You do what's best for you....i'd probably locate the companion bathrooms on a park map, this way you'll all probably feel the most comfortable.

I would have said "Neither am I!"

Good lord you had a preschooler with you -- not a man!
