I came up with DD's slogan when she ran for Student Council. We
used the Dos Equis campaign:
Put her picture in the middle and it said "I don't always run for Student Council, but when I do I run for Recording Secretary." And then her name under it.
StuCo adviser approved it and she ran on it. Lots of people thought it was cute. BTW, she didn't win but that's not the point.
So kill me for "doing" something for my daughter when she was quite capable enough to handle it herself. She told me she was thinking of running, I came up with the slogan and she said that was great. Thanks for helping. It really is scary how everyone is so afraid of being seen as enabling that they bash everyone else who helps their kids. Whatever, I'm really kind of done with the whole "holier than thou" attitude on the DIS lately.
Carry on with the judging.
And BTW, professional politicians have campaign managers and people who run their campaigns for them. So why is it so bad for a high school kid to ask for a little help?
