HELP with STAR WARS Weekend

I just realized we are going to be there during star wars weekend. We were not planning to go to MGM, but my husband loves star wars so much, I was thinking of throwing that in. Any tips? Is it worth it?? Is it busy??? An must see and do while you are there during star wars weekend at MGM??????

It is kind of crowded but if he loves SW then he should go and experience it once. Its like a big familiy reunion. He can get his pics taken with just about any character from Darth Maul to Darth Vader on the Imperial Side and Luke and Leia on the Rebel side. I am going with my DS 5 1/2 who is a SW freak. I can't wait to see him with his little light saber go up to Darth Vader and say "I'm Wuke Skywaker" (he doesn't say L's very well).

DNeph(8) and I are returning for our second SWW trip (looks like this could become an annual trip until I can no longer get him out of school!) - we had a blast last year! If you do a forum search for Star Wars, there are a ton of threads that cover all the cool things to do and the best times/days to do them. Enjoy!

The areas around Star Tours will be more crowded than other parts of the parks (for example Sunset Blvd will not be that much busier). It's a really a fun event. Take a look at the events that will be going on and see what interests you and your family.

We went to the Star Wars Weekend last year and I would say it's definately a must. We had so much fun and saw so much. There is a Star Wars parade, they have shows by the Star Tours ride, characters are always walking around. We were there on a Sunday and if I would have known how much fun it was, we would have gone on both days.
