Help with Rehearsal Dinner!

Hi everyone,

We are trying to find a good place for a rehearsal dinner. We are trying not to spend more than $50 pp. I am not too enthusiastic about the Hoop Dee Doo dinner. A lot of guests don't speak English (Spanish-speaking), so we want to avoid a show. Thanks in advance!!!

we are having ours at 1900 Park Fare at the GF. We are paying 28.99 per person and it is a lot of fun. Also the dinner at O'Hana's at the Polynesian is about that price.

I think if you are looking for good food and a good time, O'hana's is a great choice...

We just had my brothers wedding at disney last week and the rehersal dinner was at O'hanas. We had around 30 people. It really fantastic. The food was wonderful and it just kept coming. It is $24.99 a person. We had some vegetarians so they gave us Maui Maui (sp?) instead of all the pork. People just raved about the food. You can't go wrong.

We had ours at Artist Point at the WL for 22 people. Honestly, since we were going off of total price and not price-per-person, I don't know what the pricing was, but I went through my WP and I was given various group menus at different prices to choose from. It was a great, intimate, low key yet classy restaurant and everyone loved it. Keep in mind you can go with most restaurants in the resorts (or in park if you want to go that way) and the pricing may be better than you think. Talk to your WP to get that info.
ETA-
Just read you aren't having a Disney wedding. You can still contact the resort restaurants and can probably arrange for group pricing. I don't think it's exclusive to Disney brides.

I have never been to Ohana's, but am thinking about incorporating it into our vacation, perhaps before our wedding for our guests....I would love to hear how yours turns out after the wedding is over!

is always our favorite place to eat so I would recommend going there. I am actually thinking of doing our Welcoming Dinner there also. I do have a question about this though - I am not sure about how to go about alcholic drinks. I know they have some wonderful drinks there and the prices are almost as high as the dinner itself. How could we tackfully state that we will be paying for dinner and all that it includes, soda, coffee and tea but not alcholic drinks. We are looking at probably having 30 - 40 people and that would probably break our bank.

Just call 407-WDW-DINE and ask for group dining. The person I spoke to at group dining said they don't have a direct number (at least that he was aware of). Good luck!

Don't think you do. I was planning on getting them for my guest. I was also planning on some polynesian themed items as gifts. Gift bags with pineapple stuff (maybe pineapple shapped soap - got this idea from a fellow diser) tropical lifesavers, coconut or pineapple sented hand lotion, and other polynesian themed things that I saw in Oriental Trading Magazine.

Im doing the same, i getting some to put in the welcome bags with a tag on them saying please where this to welcome dinner....... as they have no idea what the welcome dinner is - most havent been to disney before. For keepsakes ive got some little plastic bags which im going to put a tropical soap in (hopefully pineapple) and a i found some lttle plastic fruits that contain sherbert, and ttahen tie them up with some ribbon and put a tag on it!

I've been there a few times and not everyone gets leis. The only time I did was for my birthday and my friend had called and told them ahead of time so it was marked on the reservations.

However, on another site, we did a meet and greet there, and one of the ladies ordered from oriental trading company a bunch of leis and flower clips for the ladies in the group to wear also. This was a big hit for the group!!
