Help with PM not working

Help!

I can read the PM sent to me this morning but I can't respond via reply or even using new.

Haven't had a problem like this one before

I am getting message that the character at 85 exceed limit of 1000. No matter how little or much I type I am getting the same message.

The 1000 character limit includes the original message sent to you. Sometimes, on a longer pm, I have to delete the original senders message in order to have enough room for my reply.

I did try deleting the original quote as well as starting fresh with compose a message instead of reply

I'll try one of my other buddies and see if it works.
