My bf (23) and I (23) are planning a budget trip at the end of August and found this great deal for a 7 night stay for $199. We have currently narrowed our choices to 3 places - Wyndham Cypress Palms, Kingstown Reef, and Summer Bay. We arent needing too many amenities as we will spend most of our time away from the resort. We really want space, updated decor, and to be comfortable. Which resort would you choose?

Unfortunately I'm not real familiar with those resorts, so I can't really give any direct recommendations.

Have you looked them up on google maps? It might help you get an idea of their location, and the grounds, which might help you in making your decision.

Something else that might be worth checking is that rate. It's a GREAT price for pretty much anything down there. Some of the times i've seen $199 deals for multiple nights offered by a timeshare property, It's been part of a sales presentation [As in, you get a great deal on accomodations, but also need to attend a sales presentation while there]. In those promo offers, I've also experienced situations where the fine print mentions they can put you up in another location, such as a Wyndham deal an old roommate got a few years ago where we toured the Wyndham Bonnett Creek Resort, and they put us in the Crown Plaza for a few nights.

i'm not saying it's scam or anything, and quite frankly could still be a great deal for you if on a tight budget.... but it wouldn't hurt to doublecheck the fine print so that you don't get hit with unexpected surprises.

Thanks, the deal is through RCI with no timeshare presentations required.

it is a good deal - would pick Orbit One - or Silver Lake (okay no 2-bedrooms here) - same for Vacation Villa at Parkaway

the problem with the new system is it does NOT give you an address - if the sponsor does not want you to have it.

the ones that I listed especially Silver Lake and Orbit one are much closer to WDW than your choices.

Silver Lake is right next to AKL - on the sherberth road part.

Orbit One is across US 192 from Sherberth Road.

I've only stayed at Wyndham Cypress palms (out of your choices). I love it there. Have stayed there 3 times and will be staying there again in November.

Before choosing, I'd make sure the resort allows 23 yos to check-in. Many have minimum age limits. My daughter went to our home resort at age 21, but said they made a point to put her in a unit right in front of the office and seemed to watch her group closely.

Summer Bay is a nice resort. RCI often has units at Sheraton Vistana available also. It is another nice resort and closer to the parks than Summer Bay.
