My DD and I will be visiting NYC for a day and will need to take the subway, rather than walk 1.5 miles (not that we can't, it just takes more than 30 minutes, and the subway will take less than 10). I've already planned the route and know which train to take, where to board and depart. My question is about the MetroCard.
Must each passenger have a MetroCard or can they be shared? I'm only planning on taking the subway one-way and walking to our next destination.
If I must spend $4.50 per card I will lose $4.50 by not getting on another train or bus. If force to, we could take another ride, but it really wouldn't be necessary.
