June 2015! Staying in a 1 br villa at the Villas at the Grand Floridian
Myself, DH, 5 yr old DD and 2 yr old DS (he will turn 3 shortly after the trip)

This forum has been so very helpful - would love any feedback at all on our plans. Haven't gotten to the point of planning FP+ yet. We have to make our ADR's next week. I'd also love recommendations on what order to request the ADR's.

We are so excited to do this trip - DD is a princess fanatic and DS is finally a pretty good traveler. We plan to tour fairly slowly - we want to enjoy and not wear them out. We will be skipping a LOT of adult stuff but we're okay with that - we'll be back. The heat is a big concern (June is because DH is a teacher, darn it), we are NOT used to Florida heat, so will be trying to avoid the worst heat by making the most of the mornings, taking afternoon breaks, and having lunch indoors. We'll do most breakfasts in our room. Other tips appreciated!

Our kids are in bed at home by 7-8 pm so we'll probably stick to that most nights, but we'd like to try to make MSEP one night. And we can see Wishes from the GF with the 5 yr old when we want to.

I managed to figure it so we're doing the most recommended park (by Easy WDW) every day!

Thanks for reading! Would love any tips that come to mind for touring with little kids! Do we have too many character meals?

We just got back from our trip with kids 3.5 and 1.5. We did 4 character meals over the week and a half we were there and thought that it was good. The kids really liked the Disney Junior characters at Hollywood & Vine and we thought the food was quite good at Cinderella's Royal Table.

Most days we would be at the park 9ish until 3-4ish. The kids did very well and the little one just napped in the stroller in the afternoons. We went late one afternoon and stayed for the electrical parade. Wanted to stay for the fireworks but one kids was asleep and the other was very cranky and needed to sleep.

I think your plan looks great! The only potential issue I see is staying up late for the parade on Friday night and then making rope drop at AK on Saturday morning. Could you switch Thursday and Friday night's activities so that you're doing the parade on Thursday and sleeping in on Friday?

I think it's great that you're not trying to do too much and sticking to normal bedtimes (for the most part). That's what we did when out kids were that age and it really worked out well - no meltdowns or grouchy kids (or parents!).

Have a great trip! :goodvibes

That's a great suggestion about doing the parade the night before we sleep in - duh!

That Thursday is a "not-recommended" day for MK (Easy WDW) though... will MSEP be a whole lot more crowded that day? Friday is a most-recommended day for MK.
