We did photo invitations for both of our daughters when they graduated. We made them on one of the machines at Sam's Club. They were very inexpensive and everybody loved them.
We're going to combine the graduation invitation /announcement and the party invitation. That's 50% of the reason that we're not going with the school's basic announcement. The other 50% is that the school's announcements are butt-ugly.
I work in a high school counseling office and agree that the packages are expensive but you can get things seperately. However we love when students do photo collage invitations. You should also contact your counselor, we recieve an extra box of invitations each year that we sell for 1 dollar a piece so you could just buy your 15 then or you can just get 1 for a keepsake.
I made mine at Vistaprint.

Are the guests invited to the actual graduation ceremony? Reading that invitation it sounds like maybe they are?

Are they invited to the ceremony as well? I would assume not based on that invitation, but your post sounded like they were.
To me, it sounds like a graduation announcement along with a party invitation, but the time/place of the graduation was listed as well so I couldn't tell.![]()
Yes, they are invited to both. I have the times for both on the invitation. How could I change this to be more clear? I am![]()
I added "as well"... did this help?
I would use the words "you are invited" rather than "we are announcing." To me, announcing a graduation is different than inviting people to attend. Where I live, graduations have very limited tickets (maybe six tickets per student) and people might announce the event and celebrate it with a larger group than are actually invited to the ceremony. That's why I assumed "announcing" it meant I was NOT invited to the ceremony.
Target has some great budget friendly options for invitaions, announcements, etc. All you need is a great photo.Congrats to your DD and good luck w/ your planning.

We are going through this this year! DD ordered her announcements thru Shutterfly; I spent about $70 and got 50 annoucements w/envelopes, 50 calling cards, and 50 address labels.
The annoucements have 8 pictures of her on them (from this year) and they did not balk at putting her official senior photos on them (even without a release from the other company).
They came out really nice, she's happy with them. The invitations to the ceremony are being done via email, as she can only invite 10 people (7 after us) and because most of our family lives out of state and they are unable to attend due to finances. The afterparty is just going to be a bbq at the house for whoever wants to attend.
My DD is graduating this May and I need to go ahead and order her invitations. They offered them through the school but. I couldn't do that, way to expensive.
Can someone direct me to a website that you have used and been happy with, that is reasonable? OR, do you have any ideas that will help me? We need less than 20 of them.
Thank you in advance.![]()
