Current Resale owner.... New Direct owner - what do I need to know

We just purchased 150 direct at Copper Creek. This is our first direct purchase. We have 200 points at BLT and 200 SSR.

What tips/tricks can you share? or what should I know tha might not be obvious.

We mainly purchased so we could buy a discounted annual pass and possibly stay at some of the newer resorts.

Get that DVC discount at the parks it saves so much money! 20%! (Food, shops)

The lounges in MK, Epcot and DL. They are great way to take a break while at the parks. Cool off and get a soda.

First of all, the annual pass is not discounted. It’s just the same Sorcerer normally available to Florida residents.

You get the same discounts percentage at WDW with the DVC or Annual. (DVC percentage discount bit different at DLR. Some magic keys get a better deal.

ah yes same savings as AP. I just get so excited since its 20% at WDW vs the 10% I always get at DLR (no MK)

I think there a few that are higher than 10%, but most of them are 10%.

There aren't really any secrets to it, you are aware of the main benefits because you know about restrictions on resale points and the ability to purchase the Sorcerer pass. Moonlight magic events are fun too if your travel dates ever coincide with one.

Most of the discounts we get are the same discounts that people with the free Disney Visa card get, so nothing to get excited about really.
