Help with girl's pants!

Some one else has to be in our shoes! My DD is in between sizes and I can't find pants to fit her!

She is a size 7 length and a size 8 waist she needs probably a 9. I have looked everywhere and can't find a thing! HELP! any ideas.
I did find a few 8 plus sizes at Landsend but haven't ordered yet.

I have kind of had the same problem. My DD is 8 but wears a size 10 waist but needs a size 8 length. My solution, I just bought her size 10 Capri pants that seem to be the right length for regular pants. You can't tell the difference.

Couldn't you buy a size 10 pants and have them hemmed? I have the opposite problem, DD wears an 8 slim in the waist and needs a 10 for the length-very hard to find her pants too. Good luck!

My daughter actually told me she needed to have some pants custom made! She needs about a 12 in length and about an 8 slim in the waist. It isn't easy!

Totally not related, but I saw packs of gum with funny, irreverant sayings on them. One was "Does this gum make my *** look big?" I cracked up.

The problem with hemming:
Most of the pants I am finding are flared legs. I have no idea how to hem them! I guess I could cut them but as soon as I do watch her have a growth spurt!
I came home with 5 different pairs of pants and styles hopeing something would fit! she can button them but they just look so uncomfortable!
I loved the days when the leggin pants would fit! UGH!

My dd is in kindergarten. She's got a "tummy" and so the waist size she needs isn't proportionate to the length she needs. Elastic windpants and leggings both work since they have elastic waists. Plus size pants are also a better fit for dd. Gap and LandsEnd both have plus sizes for girls. You might also find plus sizes in girls clothing at Sears and JC Penney. Good luck!!

Oh yes, I've been there! It's horrible. My DD9 is on the shorter side, and not built like a stick. She loves all the cute flare bottom jeans but can't usually wear them. They are usually hip huggers meant for girls with no thighs. Unfortunately she has thunder thighs!! If I get the bigger size, they are too long. If I have them altered, she loses the cute prints/flare. Same problem, size 10 for everywhere except the length. For that she would probably do good with a 8.
It's a shame though because she has started calling herself "fat". She is definately NOT fat. She just isn't super skinny! Maybe a little on the pudgy side, but far from fat!

Old Navy now has girls' "half" (plus) sizes, with an adjustible waist. Maybe you could work with that.

Check Sears too. DD slim but long legged problem and they had a lot of slims in there when they are hard to find other places. I noticed in some styles they had half sizes as well as 'plus' sizes for girls too. They were actually very stylish pants and DD loves them. Good luck.

JC Penney's and Sear all sell plus size clothes for girls. I have had this problem as well for my DD. I have done the capri thing as well, but DD won't do that anymore because she wanted boot cut.

I second trying Old Navy, Sears, Gap Kids and JC Penney's. They all sell plus sizes for girls.

Land's End, Gap and Old Navy all carry adjustable waist pants (elastics with the buttons so you can adjust the fit as you need).

I found pants! Granted they aren't my favorite but they work! and best of all she likes them! I got them at the children's place. They are called ankle length pants. with zippers at the bottoms. I was able to get a size 10 which fit very nice and the ankles are very narror and are just a tad bit long! But it works! YEAH! I bought 2 pairs and may buy 2 more! they were on sale only $12.99!
