I said I would never fly but the mouse is calling my name and I hear him so I am going to try to fly with the rest of my family next Dec. the second week. I have seen ads saying $99.00 one way often in our paper. Should we start purchasing our tickets now or watch for someof these ads to come back out.

We like to know are flights are taken care of. Others like to wait for a better deal. I guess it depends on the type of person you are. What airport are you flying out of. We are in Central IL and are flying out of Indy.

Personally, I watch flights to get a good idea of what the going price is. I then set a price that I am willing to spend to get tickets... out of Minneapolis it is $200-$210 including taxes. If I see that price, I grab it.

You have a year until you fly. I definitely wait and watch prices. For my trip to LAX (Disneyland) in June, AA happened to pop up a $188 rt fare that I could not pass on. I snagged it and our airfare is now taken care of.

Be diligent about checking and you will find what you are looking for. Heck, it is a lot of the fun of travel... finding that deal!

These days anything under $200 is a reasonable fare, anything under $150 grab it without hesitation. Usually when they say $99 it's for the bad times and only a couple seats on the plane area available for that price.
