I've been to the World only twice,
Once in POR(Loved it)
and in June 2003 Fort Wilderness Cabins(Totally Loved it)
Now just figured out we're going for Xmas....
(Those Ap's burn a hole in your pocket once you get them)
LOL...
Anyway the dilema is the 5 people thing...The Family
wants to try something new, and of course, me being
the traditional trip planner is in charge of fulfilling their
wish!! I got POR for $104 a nite (AP rate) which I thought
was Fantastic, but looking for something different and
quite honestly cheap! But I would be willing to pay for
a true Experience!! Any Ideas????? I know there have
been many posts concerning this dilema, but was hoping
for some new and creative ideas!!! Help!
P.S. We'll be there 12/16 - 12/24....Yeah!!

POR with trundle bed (if you got one) for 5 is a great deal - do not think (other than camping at FW) you will find room for 5 at a lower price at onsite property

thanks
Jaysue

That's kind of what i thought....
What about Swan/Dolphin?
Do they sleep 5? Are they nice?
They aren't Disney are they?

The Swan and Dolphin are very nice. They aren't technically Disney, but they have the bus service etc, and they are a great Boardwalk location. You will not be able to charge things to your room and you will not be able to have packages sent back to your room. As far as sleeping 5, I do not know. I do know that if you are a nurse, teacher, or government employee, you gat a $129/night rate and make sure you ask for a Heavenly Bed.

I was just on the Swan/Dolphin site
and it looks like they allow roll-aways...
It just so happens Dh is an FAA employee...
I knew he'd come in handy for something...LOL
I sure like the Location of the Swan/Dolphin...
We love Epcot!

You will love the swan/dolphin, we are also a family of five with 3 ds, ours our a little older at 15,13 and 11. We stayed at the swan with a rollaway ($25 extra per night). If you want to save, you might want to consider bringing an air mattress, or if they are little, you could maybe squeeze 3 into a quee bed. The dolphin has more of the closer restraunt choices and its where you can get the mugs refilled. I did find it incovenient to walk over from the swan to the dolphin so we did not get the mugs. I just made a lot of gatorade in the room. Our boys loved the pool and sandy beach. You are also a hop, skip and jump away from the boardwalk and mini golf. You could check out the cute swan boats, basketball etc. Its well worth the money and a great value compared to some of the disney deluxes we have stayed at. You can also get frequent flier miles if you chose. You may want to sign up for the starwood program if you are not already a member.
