Due to a death in the family, we just had to reschedule our Feb vacation to August. I was looking online at prices and came up with this: 7 nights, starting Aug 25, at Beach Club, standard view, 7 day Park Hoppers, with Dining plan = $5942.83. (I don't think that includes the insurance, which we do have)

I called WDW reservations to change my existing reservation and I was quoted a price of $5139.71. I have checked the confirmation email and I can't figure out where that approx $800 went. Everything is correct and matches up with what I put in online. I'm not complaining for sure, I just don't want an $800 surprise, KWIM? I don't think there are even any discounts at all for that time period yet?

Any idea on what it could be?

Thanks

They might have put you offer dining or something
Otherwise maybe the view selected was different

My online quote was cheaper than the quote the Disney CM gave me over the phone. But that is your amount. That sounds like free dining.

Dining is included, but not for free. It is for 2 adults, 2 "Disney adults", and one child so it would be more than $800. Still can't figure it out. :confused3

Maybe that week in August is cheaper than February?? It's definitely not free dining b/c if you had free dining, your quote would even be cheaper. I only know b/c I booked the week before you did, same resort but only with 9 days & if free dining were to come out my quote for 9 days was under 5k & we are 4 Disney adults. Have you tried going online & pricing that week again?

I wonder if you had a pin code attached to your name and it was applied when the reservation was booked.

My guess is that you have a free QS dining PIN code that was applied to your reservation. I've been on the phone several times this week quoting trips. The 1st day I was told "free dining" PIN code, so I was running numbers on the website without adding dining. The next day when I called back, I was being quoted rates approx. $600 more....turns out, that was the difference to upgrade to regular dining from my "free QS dining PIN".
