Help with Disney Dollars

Will the Disney Travel company accept disney dollars as payment for our reservation? Earlier this year we were told "yes, it's just like cash". however I just discovered, upon reviewing our reservation confirmation it states payment by credit card or check is accepted, but it's due soon, not upon arrival. I'm a bit confused, I could swear that last year we paid our balance in full upon our arrival. this year we have a disney dollar gift card to use towards our Reservation and it will cover all of the cost of our trip. I'm so stressing out that they won't accept them... of course they closed at 10 pm! Does anyone know?

When I checked into POP back in late 2003, we gave them over $700 in Disney Dollars to pay for our room. It was no problem. I haven't heard of any policy changes since then. I believe you will be fine.

Is your reservation a "room only" or a "package"? If it is a package then it is due 45 days prior to check in.

Correct. WDTC (package) needs a $200 deposit with the remainder due 45 days of arrival.
Room only is not WDTC, requires a one night deposit and the remainder at check in.

Thank You! I called Disney Travel Co. and they said no problem. It was a huge relief because our trip is being paid through disney dollars. The reservation conf only states credit card or check, so we were worried. Thanks again!!

They take the Disney Gift cards as well. We had no problem doing both for our final payment last year.
