First time to Disney in about 12 years. This will be the first for my wife and son (3). Hoping everyone can help me with a dilemma. I will be receiving a 500 dollar credit when I arrive at WDW from a pin offer. I am not sure if I should purchase a dinner plan or not because of the 500 dollar credit. I estimate just dinner alone would run about 500 dollars. We are going for 6 days and 5 nights. Do you think it would benefit me to purchase a meal plan? If I do get the meal plan do you think I will be able to spend the 500 dollar credit?
Thanks,
Corey

Are you asking if you can add the dining plan at check-in? If so, you can not. You need to add it I think 48-72 hours before check-in.

Hope this helps.

You should have received a confirmation about your reservation which lists the details. What you can use the credit for should be listed there. If not, I'd call and find out for sure so you can make your decision.

I think it would be worth your while to purchase the DDP--I've been analyzing the plans and it seems to make the most sense to buy the DDP when you have children under 10. The children's plan pays for itself, easily, on the DDP. If you're planning a lot of TS meals or meals at Signature restaurants, you might also consider the DxDP.

Just want to thank everyone for their replies. Going to purchase the dining plan and use the gift cert. for misc things, gifts, meals not cover ect.
Thanks again!
Corey
