DH and i are going out for lunch today. and now i'm faced with a dilemma...what kinds of things are we able to eat that's along the induction guidelines?

i'm thinking about O'Charleys. if you aren't familiar with the chain, it's similar to an applebees. they have AWESOME salads. i know salad is ok...but what kinds of dressing are ok? they have this black and blue salad with bacon, tomatoes, and slices of sirloin steak. they also make it with bleu cheese, but i don't like bleu cheese much. anyway, they suggest a caesar dressing. would that be ok for me to have?

eating out stresses me so...i love dining out, but i just worry about the temptation of my favorites...breaded chicken and fries and baked potatoes...

Sounds good! Ranch or Blue cheese are the best - enjoy it for me, K????

Mmmm........ that sounds so good. I think it's so important to learn how to eat out if you are used to eating out. Making this a lifestyle versus just a diet means that you will eat out. See if they have a take out menu. Bring one home to study their menu. Make notes of things you could have. Even look at things that can be subsituted. If they have fried chicken on a salad, get grilled.

Doing a low-carb/Atkins style of eating here. If you are tiring of salad, when we order off the standard menu we ask that they leave the breads/carbs off of our plate. We always try to order vegetables instead of fries... It is a bit challenging but we are managing.

Sometimes I get crazy about the salad dressing too. I really love Caeser dressing...but somebody told me that sometimes it has sugar in it. Then I start stressing about the other dressing...so now if it is at all possible...I bring my own dressing from home.

I started to feel like a big cheeseball whipping out my own dressing..and of course my DH had a field day teasing me UNITL a waitress told us that more and more people are doing it every night...she sees it all the time, low fat, low carb...and that it was probably a smart thing to do.

It makes me feel a little better knowing that I am not "blowing it" with 1/2 cup of salad dressing!!!
