Hi all...

I am currently booked at AOA little mermaid room 14 nights ,we are nanny mummy and 16 year old grand daughter ..We can now move to Coronado springs for £60 more !

What would you do?...I realize one is Moderate ,one is a value ,I also realizes the better amenities at a moderate …..For those of you who have stayed at both which did you prefer?
Did you find AOA more vacation like? ..did you find Coronado a little bland?...which would you choose please?

Is that £60 total or per night, which would be £840 ($1,086) more for the 14 nights? Are you going to spend much time at the resort or most of the time at the parks? Have you looked into doing a split stay and staying 7 nights at each? This would be my recommendation. This way you get to stay at 2 totally different resorts, get to use the skyliner at AOA to and from HS and Epcot, which we love, and have the more deluxe feel at CSR with a bigger room. Not to mention different resort food options which is great especially when you are staying that long.

The transportation options at AOA are by far better with the skyliner. But the size and deluxe option of CSR is better. I’d say if you’re doing around 5-7 days of parks, then hands down CSR. Unless you’re doing multiple EP and HS then AOA would be the better choice. On a side note, I gotta imagine one day the skyliner will connect with CSR.

I'm a fan of both resorts, I'd vote with @buzznina and go split stay :). With a trip that long, you'd get different experiences.

Coronado is not "Disneyfied" like AoA is, but with more subtle touches. I think it's beautiful, we've stayed there twice (and will be again in a couple of weeks) and don't find it bland at all. AoA was really fun for my girls (1 adult, 1 teen - pre-Skyliner - and they want to go back someday!)

Not to imply everyone from England is like minded of course, but your post made me think of our friends from England who come over every couple of years. They stay two weeks, usually at one spot, and have bounced around mostly values and some moderates. Their last stay was 2 weeks at CSR last year. Texted them tonight and asked AoA vs CSR - they said CSR hands down! For whatever that is worth... which is probably very little. :-)

...that made me laugh....thanks so much..

CSR for sure, then. The room will be bigger for the two week stay, and the amenities will be nicer. Having a slide at the pool is a big plus. I think a 16 year old would be bored at AoA. It is geared towards younger kids theme wise.
thank you very much...I am going to change tomorrow..

The CSR is probably going to be quieter since it is the conference location --not nearly as many very young children running around if that makes a difference for you. It is more peaceful I think, we have really liked staying there because of the walk around the lake but to be fair we have not been there since they added the tower --I think it took a little away from the ambience of it. It will have nicer a bit larger rooms as well I would think.

Not sure when you are going but it was recently announced that Nemo Big Blue Pool at AoA will be closed for refurb in 2021 (instead of Fall 2020 as was previously planned), expected to last from January 11, 2021 through early April 2021.

Split stay sound like a great option. If I had to pick only one it'd be CSR, especially for 2 weeks. The Little Mermaid rooms are fun but smaller and the room theming might wear out its welcome quickly. I prefer not having the carpet at CSR and the storage room under the beds can really come in handy to keep space open. More relaxed and airy at CSR I think, & the main pool is more fun too.

Skyliner at AOA shares with pop and we ended up not using it like we thought we would. I say do a split stay or upgrade.
