We are going December 1-10. Typically we do not make many ADR’s, usually 1-2 just to make sure we get into our favorites. Do we need to make more for this time of year?

We will be there Nov. 29- Dec. 6. We are not on the dining plan, but I makde 3 ADR's. One at 1900 Park Fare for DD8's birthday, 50's Prime Time, and Garden Grill (LOVE both of these and go there every trip). The rest of our meals will be counter service. The las trip I had 10 of the Table Service vouchers they used to have and it was TOO much planning and not enough spontineity for us. This trip our ADR's are for the first 3 days and the last three days we will wing it. :thumbsup2

We went the first week of December last year and are going the same week this year. I would definitely recommend making ADRs for your must-do places as well as any TS meals for dinner in Epcot (the CP packages make it harder to get ADRs) I think that you will find that you probably will have more open options once you arrive but I would definitely make some ADRs (especially if you are on the DDP!)

We are going without kids Nov. 30-Dec. 5. I have made ressies for all the evening meals--but I am a planner. I don't like leaving anything to chance. We enjoy eating TS at night and we have favorites so I make ADR's.

We will be there Nov 30 to Dec 4 and I made all our ressies already and changed them a few times without a problem. We have every dinner at a TS (wanted to make sure I got Le Cellier and 1900 Park Faire before the MVMCP).

I say if you have your heart set on a certain restaurants make sure you get a reservation....

We are heading to DW from Dec 2nd to the 13th on the premium plan. I am making ressies to make sure we hit all the places that have been suggested to me AND so that we got our moneys worth! I am leaving some slots open for us to pick that day. I am a newbie at this but have been getting great advice from folks on this site. :)

If you don't wish to make ADRs now, I would at least make them while you are there, maybe the day before, or the morning of the time you want to eat at a certain places. Even though its not a busy time of year, it seems that many TS places book up at popular times due to the dining plan. Better safe than sorry! You can always cancel them.

I would. With the popularity of the Candlelight Processional and MVMCP, alot of the park and resort restaurants in or near these fill up fast and may be booked. Plus Pop Warner and Cheerleaders will be there from 12/3-10. I'd choose at least your TS meals and call as soon as possible to make ADR's.

I would definitely make some ADR's unless you are ok with CS. I have been trying all week to set up my ADR's for 11/30-12/3. I have not had an easy time of it.

It depends on where you want to dine and when. We are going 12/9 -12/15 and I had no trouble getting all the ADR's I wanted. In December I do make our ADR's very early all are for 5:30. This way we have dinner then visit the parks at night when everything is lit and beautiful. Because we have dinner early, by the time we get to the parks they are empty because most people are dining or at a show. It's fun because we skip dessert, walk off dinner and get a holiday treat in the park. You also get the best of both worlds, since 5:30 is usually the earliest ADR, there is no waiting. The restaurants are quiet and half full.

We were there for those exact dates last year (with adr's) and they were turning people without adr's away at 50's Primetime Cafe for lunch and 'Ohana's for dinner. We managed to change a couple of plans at the last minute and got into SciFi Drive-In and the Brown Derby, but only at off hours (3:30 & 8:00pm). I'd reserve the ones you absolutely wouldn't want to miss and call from your resort in the morning for some spur of the moment ideas. Otherwise, just take your chances and be flexible and have a great time.

We went the same days last year and are going the same days this year. We saw many people turned away at the TS resturaunts or not have hours till 9 pm. I made all our ressies at the 180 day mark.

Im going from the 11/29 - 12/18 and i have made ADR's for each night! I did have a few problems getting what i wanted for CRT and Le Cellier. I would rather have the ADR and be able to cancel it nearer the time than want to eat somewhere and not get in!

Good point. They dont care if you cancel the ADR???

No problem cancelling. I would recommend cancelling once you know you will not be making the meal, even if it is only an hour in advance. This allows someone else to get your ADR. There is no penalty if you don't show up, but it is polite to cancel.

I do have to confess to not cancelling an ADR, but our family had a melt down (including me) and I decided we were just not up to a table service meal right then. I didn't have a cell phone handy and was not in the mood to go out of my way to cancel. But this was a last minute change.
