I have this digital camera and any tips would be greatly appreciated! I seem to have problems with clarity on alot of pictures. Also, I have a problem with pictures especially during dance recitals. Dark in the room, light on the stage. The manuel that came with this camera was not good!

Even the light on a stage is not much available light for a camera to use. Your eyes adjust, so it seems like more to your perception. I am sorry to say that the only option you have is to get as close as possible, make sure the shutter speed is fast enough to prevent motion blur and increase the ISO to the highest level that you find acceptable for noise. That is a tough situation for any p&s and Kodak in particular are not known for outstanding low light abilities. Your other blurry shots are likely similar situations where the light is low.

I believe you have to go into the P, A, S or M settings on the camera. You should be able to adjust the shutter speed, aperture, and ISO settings there. I think your ISO choices are 64, 100, 200, 400 and 800.

I had a Z750, which is very similar.

Shows are definitely difficult to shoot. I often get there early to get close, and spend the waiting time practicing, trying different settings to see what will work for the stage. (Thank heavens for delete.) Even then (using a Canon P&S now) I spend time later with an editing program to make them better.

You might want to ask Kodak users how to get the most out of your camera here.....

Great! I found that mode. I found out how to change the iso(someone please explain to me the difference in iso) Then across the bottom of my screen it has

A(I CAN MOVE THIS UP OR DOWN AND IT CHANGES TO S, M, OR P)
f2.8- this number can increase or decrease- I have no clue what it means
1/8-same here looks like depending what letter the first column is on depends on if you can change this one
0.0- this can change to either + something or - something

I have no clue what these are for but would love to know.

Thanks for the links to the message boards! I will definitely read!!

If you do, I would suggest you read through it, especially about the PASM modes.

P= Program mode.
A= Aperture Priority Mode
S= Shutter Priority Mode
M= Manual Mode.

It is great that Kodak enables photographers to be more creative in these modes. You do need to have a basic understanding of photography to make them work for you though.

I also say practice, practice, practice.
