Help! When should i borrow points, ect...

Please help, im a little (o.k. a lot) Confused! I have 200 points, (August use year-SS). I need 166 points for a October trip to the Beach Club.
Which leaves me 34 points. Then i want to take a trip in May 2006 to Saratoga for 125 points, so im 91 short. I dont want to borrow, and dont want to add on right now. So i need to buy these points from another member. Now where im confused is, if i buy points now that expire after my October trip, but before my May trip, will Member services use those points first. or will they use my point's first, and then i will risk losing the points i bought? I hope that makes sense?

Why not borrow? If you already have used most of your points and need more for the next trip, then perhaps you haven't planned out well how many points you will need annually. The system is set up for borrowing. If you borrow those 91 points, it will just mean you have 109 points available in your 2006 use year.

I agree with Diane but would add that you could also borrow that year too too to give you 309 points. Even if you borrow every year, the worst that will happen is that you won't have any points to use in 2054 (If you own at SSR, 2042 otherwise). By then you probably won't care.

I also would borrow points. If next year you can't cover all your needs by borrowing, I would then rent the needed points. Why pay extra for the points when you don't have to? And if something comes up and you can't go to Disney one year, you will just get your self out of the borrowing state - rather than worrying about banking (which is not bad to do either).

WHy don't you borrow while you can. It's cheaper. Worst case is you run out of points to borrow. I would only but/rent from someone else if I have run out of points to borrow.
