help! what color??

ok so i am trying to decide on the color scheme for my wedding. we are going with a January wedding. at first i wanted red/black/white- but a part of me thinks thats too cliche'-although it always turns out gorgeous. then i started thinking about coffee brown and shades of pink...but i ran into a problem ..what color are the guys going to wear? do they have a brown tux? has anyone used one before...what did it turn out like? and then i thought hmm manybe tan, but my dress is going to be white and i just dont know how the guys in tan will look and i know my fiance is not going to go for the white suit..hmm such a dilema..any suggestions?

I am getting married in January and am doing the red/black/white. My DF said he wanted red, and it sounded good to me, so it just stuck. I'm not sure how you would work the brown in with the tuxes though, sorry.

coffee and pink sound so nice! I'm going for a pink theme as I want my dress to be a shade of pink so I would love my BM's to be in coffee. I would still have my DF in a black suit with either a coffee or pink waist coat and cravat

Sorry I cant be much more help, I'm just starting to plan mine so only have a few ideas

yea, i guess sticking with a black tux wouldnt be too bad. after all, black and brown together isnt really a fashion no no any more, i just looked at some brown themed weddings on the knot websites on a previous post and it didnt look that bad with brown and black. what about bridesmaid dresses? should i do like brown with pink accents or should i do ivory colors? would ivory look bad with a white wedding gown, bc my heart is set on a true white gown

When i think brown and pink weddings I think of my parent's wedding pictures from the early 80s/late 70s. Take that as you will. I think black/white/red looks very classy though.

ouch, that kinda turns me away from brown/pink. i think im leaning more toward black red white...its very romantic colors and thats what i want, a very romantic wedding...touches of crystals and such added in some kind of way..thanks for your honesty

Hey no problem. I do really like brown and pink (certain shades) but it seems to be a trendy combo. I really do think red/black/white is more timeless. Then again, it's not my wedding so pick color combinations that YOU like.

Al, I just had to say that I laughed so hard at teh pic of your pup. That's teriffic!!!! My dogs would never sit still for that... what a great pic!!!
