Help! We are under attack from black ants!

Tiny ants sound like sugar ants. Don't use any type of sprays as that will not get rid of them. Use Terro - I just bought some today at Home Depot. The ants will swarm like crazy to the Terro but do NOT kill them. They MUST take the Terro back to the nest to kill the queen. That is the only way to get rid of them - by killing the queen. Terro really works!!

I agree with the Terro Ant Killer. It is the only thing that has ever worked for me. I pour some of the liquid in gatorade or milk lids and sit it on the back of the cabinet where the ants are. Within the next day they are all gone.

Tomorrow is the first day of school for my boys and then I have to wait for the furnace guy. As soon as he leaves, I'll be on a Terro hunt. I'll check Home Depot again. If they don't have it, I'll hit the Giant Eagle two shopping centers down.

Thanks for the tips. My counters are clean & vinegar covered. There are still a few stragglers. I think they are under the sink.

Terro works great. I have only been able to find it at Walgreens around here.

They will keep moving around until you kill the queen. That is why Terro works, they eat it and take it back to the queen/nest.

Equal parts borax and confectioners sugar works great. Just mix it and put it on small pieces of cardboard. Soon the whole colony will be out partying and will take it back to the nest.
