I have been trying to schedule a character breakfast for one of the resorts and all I could get was O'hanas at the Polynesian. If you have been to this one, please give me details on the food and characters. Was it fun or not worth it? Thanks in advance!!!

It is very nice. It is not a buffet, it is all you can eat. The food is served family style and is good. There are scrambled eggs, potatos, bacon, sausage, waffles, and lots of fruit. It is usually a very fun breakfast. The characters are Minnie, Chip and Dale and I think Pluto.

We like the Cape May character breakfast. It is a buffet and more laid back. Have you tried there and 1900 Park Fare at the GF also has a character breakfast buffet.

We liked it. The food was good and the service was great!

One of my favorites! The food was great and plentiful. The characters visited often. I plan to do it again next April.

This has been my "regular" breakfast since Minnie Minehune was there.

Last time I tried to book Chef Mickey's for something different and it was booked - so it was back to the Poly.

The food is very good. Scrambled eggs, Waffles, French Toast sticks, bacon, served "family style" in a skillet - all you can eat. I like the family style with small kids - who needs to herd a three year old to a buffet line? And I think its a little fresher in the skillet than out of the buffet trays.

Because its the Poly, they also have a coconut pinapple coffee cake that is the reason many people return over and over.

Mickey, Pluto, Chip and Dale and Goofy were there last time. They wear Hawaiian shirts and leis. There is plenty of room around the tables for the characters to move. When we were there, the characters were very good - my son and daughter have different reactions and were sitting right next to each other. My son is a little wary of the characters - not a screamer, but keeps his distance. My daughter treated them like big teddy bears. They were really good at reading them both - interacting with my daughter while keeping the space there for my son.

The characters and children do a "parade" about every half an hour.

When we were there, the Poly was under renovation, but it is such a lovely resort that its nice to visit - even if its just walking through the lobby.

I think this is the best Char. Breakfast. The servers are wonderful! And it always seems the characters take their time with the kids. They usually make it to the tables twice too!
Mahaloo!

Thanks to you all! I am going to keep my reservation because you all made it sound great. I like the idea that they bring the food to the table since my DD and DS will be with me! Plus, I cant resist Mickey in a Hawaiian shirt!
