This has been my "regular" breakfast since Minnie Minehune was there.
Last time I tried to book Chef Mickey's for something different and it was booked - so it was back to the Poly.
The food is very good. Scrambled eggs, Waffles, French Toast sticks, bacon, served "family style" in a skillet - all you can eat. I like the family style with small kids - who needs to herd a three year old to a buffet line? And I think its a little fresher in the skillet than out of the buffet trays.
Because its the Poly, they also have a coconut pinapple coffee cake that is the reason many people return over and over.
Mickey, Pluto, Chip and Dale and Goofy were there last time. They wear Hawaiian shirts and leis. There is plenty of room around the tables for the characters to move. When we were there, the characters were very good - my son and daughter have different reactions and were sitting right next to each other. My son is a little wary of the characters - not a screamer, but keeps his distance. My daughter treated them like big teddy bears. They were really good at reading them both - interacting with my daughter while keeping the space there for my son.
The characters and children do a "parade" about every half an hour.
When we were there, the Poly was under renovation, but it is such a lovely resort that its nice to visit - even if its just walking through the lobby.
