WMRT off of Mousesavers and got a great price ($109.48 1 week Nov 6-13) with Thrify but the fine print on the agreement says

"WalMart card qualifications: Customer must have $600 available credit and the estimated amount of rental. Renter must be the Primary card holder."

Nothing was said on Mousesavers that a Wal Mart credit card was necessary to book this. We don't have one........

Will they require one when we go to rent the car? Now what?

Thank you to all who know something about this..........

think that has been discussed before

the code appears on the back of "rand McNally" atlas for sell at Walmart ( thus is available to anyone --- even if you do not buy the atlas )

with respect to the 600$, think that is only if you are using the walmart credit card to pay for the rental

do a search on "wmrt"...

it should bring up some of the threads posted about this code

I don't know if you are a Sam's Club member or not, but I got a coupon at Sam's one day that is for 10% off for Sam's Club members, and you can also get an extra $15 off the weekly rental with another coupon. Or there is a coupon for a car class upgrade to apply with your 10% Sam's rate. If you are a Sam's member, and are located close by to one, it might be worth running by there to pick up a coupon.

Actually, if you want this coupon, PM me with your address, and I'll mail it to you. I have an extra one I won't be using.

I too checked out the mousaver codes and found I could match the rates they provided by using my Costco or BJ's membership (yes, I have both....don't ask:rolleyes: ). I was able to pull up the $109 rate through Alamo, Budget and Dollar's websites.

Check them out!

I too have a COSTCO, Sams, and BJ's membership (maybe it is a northern VA thing!). I have found that their discounts often beat my AAA car rental discount or most of the other codes. Which is best sometimes depends on the city (BJ's was the best for LA this summer). One word of warning if you are not a member - they checked our membership card and coupon at LAX.

I assume the $600 of credit is a walmart card requiement and not the rental agency (unless they are charging a security deposit on the card - some small local agencies do this but I have never run into it with one of the big national companies)

Most answers should be "just do a search!" because yes, this has been discussed many times before. My own answer did not dawn on me :D Someone else had to tell me! I am going with others that it would of been better worded "If you are going to use (my words) a WalMart card.....blah, blah" as no one has had a problem with that code.

I am sorry I do not have Sams or Costco and BJ's is not here in Dallas.

Could the $109. rate be beat?

Thank you again in my moment of panic.......

I also saw in the mousesavers website that you could use the Magicard code MAG and come up with the same rate. Apparently the Orlando Magicard is free and offers other discounts as well. Might be worth looking into if you have time to order it and have it mailed!
