Help us plan our next trip

Hi,
We're just back (sunday) and I'm so depressed I want to start planning again for 2008.
Our budget will be tight but i'm sure if we are careful we can save enough (I wish someone had told me before I booked my 1st trip that the "once in a lifetime holiday" is actually the start of an addiction which results in Orlando being the only place I would want to go on holiday to!!!! )

Any tips on planning an Orlando holiday on a tight budget (e.g. when/where to book cheap flights, best time of year to go, etc etc

I would say that one way of doing Orlando - or Florida in general - would be to get a hire car and travel about finding the places that are free to do. Old Town is one example of this, especially on a Thurs/Fri/Sat night when they have the classic car and bike rallies. They normally have a band on and the atmosphere is amazing. There are loads of sites out there dedicated to doing Orlando on a budget so I'm sure it won't be a problem at all.

We got flights last year through the Daily Mail and virgin for £776 for the 3 of us (3 adults) DD15! and that was flying in February.

If you don't have to go in school holidays you should be able to get cheaper flights. Beginning of December is usually quite cheap. Also try expedia (if you don't mind flying indirect) or some of the charter airlines like thomsonfly. Obviously if you stay off site you will be able to get a hotel at reasonable rates.

If you can fly from Glasgow, FlyGlobespan run a cheap sevice, some dont like them others have no problems(like any airline).

or add Best Western Lakeside (good value hotel) total for the 17 nights £982

There are cheaper dates you need to search. Only way of beating these prices is last minute charter flights.
