DH & I are planning our yearly trip and we really can't decide which week in November to go. The two weeks in November that we are debating is the 3rd thru 8th or the 10th thru 16th.

The issue we have is that Jersey week begins on the 8th and we dont know what kind of effect Jersey week has on crowds as we have never been there during Jersey week. Plus Veterans day is Monday the 12th - will that increase the crowds as well ??

Viewing touring plans the crowd calendars show about same numbers - which makes it even harder for us.

For those of you that have been there during Jersey week - is there any increase in crowds that TP is not showing ?

Thanks in advance.

I don't know which is better but I booked 11/8- 11/14 last week when the window opened up and couldn't get BW, BCV or BLT, I was very happy beacuse I was able to AKL savanna view but I would try to decide quickly so you can get what you want. Good luck in whatever you decide. :lovestruc

If you book the 3-8, you will have a full week of F&W. Jersey week brings big crowds. It doesn't stop us from going if that's what's best for our schedule, but if we have options, we try to avoid it.

As a Jersey native and frequent Jersey Week visitor, we find the bump that occurs due to veterans day(Fri-Mon) is more than Jersey Week. Just IMHO.

We were down for a big chunk of Jersey week last year, actually ran into more Ohioians like ourselves. I didn't find it crowded at all, but we go to the parks early.

Would have no problem doing it again but decided to go to DL this November instead. Will more than likely be back at WDW for that timeframe in 2013

We were there during Jersey Week in 2010(first week of Nov.) and it didn't seem to affect anything in a negative way. Be aware of Election Day on that Tuesday if you are from out of state. Absentee Ballot! :thumbsup2

Do like we are doing... Skip WDW and head to DL.

We will be in SoCal from 3-10 of November, and at VGC for 7-10.

We have small children and Cars Land was a major factor. Also, we let our WDW AP's run out for this reason. We will be back to AP's at WDW next year.

You are already past the 7 month time frame for non-home resort reservations. You'll be lucky to get anything with DVC. You might wind up with multiple resorts.

Or use early voting if available. We have that but it's much easier to do absentee imho.

We are checking out of VGC the day before you check in.

My kids are bigger, but the driving force for DL was the ability to book 4 25k Delta FF tickets to LAX and we might hit WDW either pre/post Vero Beach next spring break.

We are using our 50,000 SW Visa FF miles to get to LA.

I have this strange feeling that DW and the kids are going to fall in love with VGC and DLR. No buses is a huge bonus. Walking distance to everything. It's like more vacation in the same amount of time if we are not on a bus or boat.

We will be back to WDW in 2013.

:rotfl2: My DH was saying the samething today.

DW loves to shop, walking distance

Kids love the parks, direct entrance into DCA and walking distance to DL

Restaurants withing walking distance.

I read that the whole DLR area is about 600 acres (about 1 square mile).

So many of the great attractions that we find at WDW and some that are original to DLR.

The biggest downfall for California is its just urban area all around DLR. WDW is a place where we don't mind being off property, but at DLR it a place we really feel like it enhances our vacation being on property.

Also, you said you would be checking out VGC the day before we check in. If you are still in the area, we have a 1br that your welcome to check out.

I've been out to Anaheim quite a few times for conventions, so I know the area around DL.

We've got a 2br at VGC booked, had the usual 7 month anxiety plus hoping the Wyndham Old Town Alexandria WIFI wouldn't give out on me mid typing!

The 7 month anxiety at VGC has to be 100 times worse then any other DVC.

It ranks up there with the 11 month window trying to book one of the 6 Beach Cottages at Vero! Got that one coming up in 15 days.

I had Worldmark Anaheim booked with my Wyndham points as a back up.

Decide quick you/ll propbably only have your choice of SSR and OKW.

Thanks for all the replies - we booked the 10th thru 16th @ OKW - stuck with our first instinct and just went with it.

As for OKW & SSR - these are the two resorts that we prefer - so we never have an issue with late bookings.
