I just spent ten minutes trying to decide where to post this - please move it if there’s a better place.

Any recommendations on urgent care near Disney? We are staying at the Swan - well as soon as our very delayed Auto Train arrives in Sanford. I have had a migraine for five days now, and my cousin (a pain PA) recommended finding an urgent care where I can get an Rx for Imitrex. Especially considering that we’ve lost hours of park time due the train delay, I’d like to find somewhere I can make this happen as quickly and efficiently as possible. Any recommendations?

In MDE, there's a "health care services" choice in the main menu. Disney has a partnership with Advent Health that includes urgent care and prescription delivery.

It's way too late for Imitrex. That needs to be taken at the first sign of a migraine to work. Go to any ER and they can give you a shot of toradol or demerol to knock the pain completely out. An urgent care will be able to give you toradol, but not anything stronger. Toradol is simply a super high dose NSAID. Sorry you are dealing with this. Its happened to me at WDW and is no fun.

I'd recommend the toradol if you don't want to lose any significant amount of park time, although you really do need to take it easy for the rest of today or it will bounce back. Let your family go without you while you rest in the room. Buy some Gatorade or similar to help with recovery. You are going to feel like you have a bad hangover tomorrow if you get a shot today for the pain.

Advent healthcare has a location just outside the DS entrance on Apopka Vineland rd. It is walk in 24 hours. The front desk can assist you

Thanks for the advice, everyone. I downloaded the Advent Healthcare app, and had a telehealth appointment with a nurse practitioner while I was still on the train. He prescribed Imitrex (which did work, btw) and Celebration Pharmacy delivered it right to my hotel. All in all, it was a pretty great healthcare experience.

I'm wondering, @DLgal, if the Imitrex worked for me because it's not something I typically take - or if it's because my migraines aren't as bad? But thank you for the advice about the other meds - I'm tucking that in my back pocket in case my headaches escalate!
