Thinking about going to Universal/IOA in July and wanted to know is there anyway we can purchase the Universal Express Plus Passes without staying at a onsite hotel? We would like to skip the long lines and get front of the line access. If we can purchase Plus Passes, where can we buy them? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Yes...you can purchase them right inside the gates at either park. They have a stand located just past the bag check area. You can't get FOTL access w/o staying onsite but anyone can purchase the EP Plus passes.

You can buy them inside of the park. I can't tell you exactly where, as my dh is still asleep and he was the one who actually bought them. Just so that you know, the pass was $37 pp. I believe that it was money well spent! My family and I stayed at Cypress Pointe and went to Disney and Universal. We bought the special pass only for our day at IOA. Enjoy your trip.

YOu can also order them in advance at Universal's website. They sometimes sell out of them at the parks.

I am staying offsite. Would a Express Plus ticket be good value for money? I will be in Orlando last week of April, first week of May.

I would say that it depends on the crowds. I would just play it by ear and if it's really busy, get one..if not, you can get them at the individual rides you want.

It also depends on what you are going to ride and how often. We bought them last summer and it ended up being a waste.

It might have changed, but when we bought them, it only gave you an express pass one time for each ride (I hope I used the right terms/language to describe that). I didn't read carefully enough when we bought them and thought that it would be like the pass on-site hotel guests have where you can ride things multiple times using the Express entrance. That is my own fault though. It wasn't worth it for us, but we still had a great time. We went in July and the crowds were huge!!!

Hiya

I have just bought it to use at IOA on our first day in Orlando. As we are going in July/Aug we have paid top-dollar ($37 each) as the price is dependant on expected crowd levels.

I havent got the tickets yet, they will be posted a few weeks before travel but I just recieved confirmation of booking today.
