Hello all,

My DS's grade is having a greek festival next week. They want each family to provide some type of greek food for all of the children to share (about 70 students). It doesn't have to be anything big but enough so each child could have a taste. It will have to be something that can go in the fridge or be left out as I have to take it in the morning. Any ideas?

TIA!

some kind of dessert like (excuse the spelling) baklava or kalitubutico???

they can be left out most of the day. A greek salad, but that may need to be in the fridge,

How about Tzatziki? It's the cucumber sauce that is served on gyros. It's easy to sample on a pita bread wedge (we've done this at DD's international night at school)

Tzatziki Sauce

Ingredients:
8 oz. plain yogurt
1 sm. cucumber, peeled, seeded and chopped
2 cloves garlic, peeled and pressed
1 tbsp. fresh lemon juice
1 tsp. olive oil
Salt and fresh ground pepper, to taste

Directions:
Squeeze the moisture out of the cucumber in a towel, add to the rest of the ingredients, mix well and serve with pita bread.

olives
feta cheese(it's so strong, a little goes along way)
small triangles of pita
honey cookies
baklava
rice pudding!!

Thank you so much for your help! I was at a total loss before!

THANKS!
