Hi,
We are booked with Complete Orlando to go to the Beach Club 11 Aug - 1 Sept this year. We are booked in a standard room. I've just noticed that Disney had recategorised their rooms to now offer standard, wood/garden view or pool/water view. I really want a garden view room and am willing to pay more but just can't seem to book it!! None of the UK suppliers seem to offer it and although Complete Orlando said they would look into it I really want to see if this room is available on my dates - however every time I try to do a dummy booking I get sent back to the UK version of the Disney site which does not offer this room type - ARGHH!! ANy ideas how I can do a dummy booking on Disney USA?? (sorry for the essay)

If you dont do online check in you can pay to upgrade at the check in desk when you arrive. You will want to check what the cost is first though for your dates as you will pay it in US$. CO should be able to find out for you though. It is unlikely you can upgrade it yourself online, but you may be able to have it done over the phone - as long as you get to the right person.

as pp says you can upgrade at front desk ,first ask what room you have ask is there any free upgrades if not ask how much to upgrade, reason they split rooms into so many categories is to pull in extra $$$

Thanks so much - just managed to do a dummy booking on usa disney and the garden room is available for our stay so hopefully complete orlando can sort it. If not I'll ring Disney myself. I would've taken a chance doing it on check in but there aren't many garden/woods view rooms so they will probably sell our and don't want to be stuck with a car park view for 3 weeks!

cut out the middle man pay it on arrival would work out cheaper IMHO

On your dummy booking on the US Disney site you should be able to see the difference in price between the room you currently have booked and the garden view. If you don't do it at the front desk, you will need to do it through your booking agent (CO) as your booking and contract is with them.

EDIT: I take it from your last post that you figured out how to dummy book on the US site. If I am mistaken please say so and I will explain how to get into the US bookings.

Hi,
Thanks yes I did work it out! The reason that I don't want to leave it until check in is that the price difference between standard and garden view is only $10 a night so I would imagine these rooms will be booked up and they'll have no availability when we get there,
Thanks,
Claire

Yes, probably. Let us know when you have your preferred room sorted. :goodvibes
