One thing my sister really wants to do when we go this July is something she on the Unwrapped show.. where the kids can make their own desserts. She saw that you can paint cookies and decorate them and other desserts, but neither of us know where that is... I think its at one of the resorts....

Is it a restaurtant or an activity??

Thanks so much..I am making ressies today so any info would help!!!!

I believe that is at the Grand Floridain hotel.:D

I believe they do this in the "Land" pavillion in Epcot.

I thought cookie-painting was at the Wilderness Lodge rest. Too braindead to think of name. I think the Rest. board had a thread awhile back, and that the deserts were in different restaurants. Does that help any?

J.C. did the one at the Land Pavillion at Epcot, they made cookies and it was the funniest thing. The little, little kids were plopping dough and milk everywhere. We laughed so hard!!! The "chef" who helped was as funny as the kids.

She said it wasnt the Grand Adventures in Cooking.... (at the GF)

She said you could make Laydbugs, or get a cookie with a bunch of colored paints (food colors). Stuff like that!

I remember that - it was a dessert you could order at a restaurant for the kids...NOT an "adventure" or afternoon tea.

I remember there was a TON of stuff on the Travel/Food channels one week about Disney...I hope it wasn't on the Cruise Line show...lemme look around for it and get back to you.

Thanks Dan.... Smooches :love2:

Still trying to find exactly which restaurant she is talking about for the cookie painting..

The one on unwrapped was at Chef Mickey's. They were still doing the segment on Chef Mickey's and character dining, and how kids could decorate their own dessert. They showed an artist's pallete and a cookie the kids could paint on and ice cream with m&ms all over it.

Yup... that was Chef Mickey's.

I think it was at Chef Mickey's which is at the Contemporary. It is where the big buffet is that has the mickey waffles and pancakes. Hope this helps :Pinkbounc

At Yachtsman Steakhouse our girls got a white chocolate Mickey Mouse Puzzle that they put together and then 'painted' with edible paint. They loved it!

The never said really.

They were talking about eating at the Contemporary, Chef Mickey's and showed the cupcakes and then went on to show the fun desserts.

The only thing I can find on the menus on Deb's site show a Mickey's Dessert Puzzle - white chocolate puzzle, sugar "paint" and a vanilla cupcake $5.29"

That's at Yachtsman Steakhouse and Artist Point

Jiki has "Jiko's Kid Puzzle with mini banana split $5.50"

The Coral Reef has

Peanut Butter Playdough - $2.50
Shipwreck - $3.25
Build Your Own Sundae - $5.25

good luck!

Knowing Disney, you could probably paint anywhere you wanted to. Ask and they will accommodate. :)

I saw that episode and it was definitely Chef Mickeys. I have that exact show recorded on my TIVO and looked back at it and it was there at Chef Mickeys in the Contemporary Resort.

I have seen that episode a few:rolleyes: times. What they were showing and talking about was definitely the kids "make your own" desserts at Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary.

But wasn't it at Chef Mickey's that they were doing the cupcakes and then they showed a chef in a kitchen with all the kids desserts? They never officially said what restaurant did they?

I've never eaten at Chef Mickey's, but I've only heard about the cupcakes for dessert, nothing about ladybugs, caterpillars, etc.
