I'm confused: please tell me about Docking Bay Viewing with Food. In reading the threads, I see it was first for Fire of the Rising Moon, I am guessing it is now only (?) for viewing Shadows of Memory which starts at 8:30. What does it offer and what did you think of it? And do you know why there are 3 staggered times of 8, 8:20 and 8:30 ?

The staggered times are just so they can manage arrival flow. Booking an earlier time will allow you to spend a little more time in the area, get your food before it starts, and possibly get a better spot. You get a snack plate, unlimited soft drinks, and access to a reserved (standing) view area that's higher up than the main viewing area (Falcon Overlook). I was thinking you also got a souvenir cup with a specialty non-alcoholic drink, but I'm not seeing that on the website.

Have you seen the page on disney.go?

There was a thread when it was first introduced and someone went. This is what they shared.

One of my goals for our November trip is to watch Shadows of Memory. How crowded does it usually get and how soon to people start claiming space? I am contemplating just doing the Docking Bay 7 package so I know it'll be no stress, but I wasn't sure if it's one of those things that aren't completely necessary (maybe it's super easy to get a spot?). We are never in Galaxy's Edge during that time, so it's hard for me to make a decision. If it makes any difference, we would probably watch it on a Sunday.

We watched in July and walked up maybe 20 min beforehand and found a spot without issue. There was plenty of room for more people too. After the projection show we just stayed in the same area to wait for fireworks. Most of the other people did the same. I’m not sure when the people behind us got there, but they had the best spot, which was leaning up against the wall that goes up to the docking bay 7 viewing area. If we did it again I would try for a spot against that wall as having a back rest would be nice. lol.

Thanks for the info. Sounds like it's not like Main Street for fireworks, so that's good. Hmmm, now to decide if I should just do the package. Like the OP, I'd love to hear other experiences!
