Help! Princess Lover!!

OK - help a sister out. I am taking my family (DMIL, DDIL, DSIL, DBIL, DH, DD,DS,DD) to The World the last week of Jan 09. My DD6 is the oldest of the kids and loves ALL the princesses equally. I asked her who her favorite is, and she says "all of them". So I want to do a character meal and am struggling as to which one. I want to see as many Princesses as possible, and the castle would be great. But is 1900 just as good? It's cheaper, and if we do DDP this meal would be OOP to save the 2 credits. Can we meet princesses other places than character meals?

I would suggest the princess dinner at Norway in Epcot. We ate there last Oct and saw Ariel, Cinderella, Jazmin, Poccahantas and Belle. They were all great and spent a lot of time at our table. You also get photo package with Belle when you enter that you can purchase if you like. My DD and DS both loved it.
We also ate dinner at CRT and honestly the Norway expierence was better and w/the DDP it only cost us 1 TS credit rather than the 2 at CRT. Have a wonderful trip!

I will give you our honest opinion, we have done all the princess meals. Our favorite is Akershus. We saw 5-6 princesses there and our daughter loved it. We have only done the breakfast, so I can't recommend any of the other meals, but the food at breakfast is wonderful. It is one of my husbands favorites when it comes to character meals.

We did the breakfast at Akershus too, and loved it. We had Belle, Snow White, Mulan, Aurora, and Jasmine.

If you have enough time on your trip, you could schedule another meal, lunch or dinner, at Akershus too -- the princesses rotate schedules somewhat, so you'd likely meet a couple of others, and the menu is definitely different from breakfast -- but look at the menu first to make sure your party would like it. Some people love the Scandinavian-flavored food, and others find it a little too unusual for their tastes.

You can sometimes see the princesses in their home countries in Epcot -- Belle in France (in her blue town dress, not the yellow ball gown), Jasmine in Morocco with Aladdin and the Genie. I'd love it if Snow White visited Germany, but don't know if she does...

Best place for Cindy other than CRT is 1900 PF dinner -- and you get the prince, stepmother and stepsisters, too. 1900 PF has Alice and Mary Poppins for breakfast -- not "princesses", but "leading ladies" as Disney calls them

There is still a princess meet and greet area in Toon Town, I believe, but I've heard the lines are outrageously long.

I would also suggest at HS there is a short musical Little Mermaid stage show, and a Beauty and the Beast musical as well -- both were charming, not too long, and hit most of the movie highlights and songs...

Oh, and I think Pocohontas sometimes makes an appearance in AK, and has a little musical show there as well.

Have a wonderful time! I took my DGD3 to DL in February, and she is a huge princess fan, too. The look on her face the first time she met Cindy in person was priceless

Thank ya'll soooo much! Norway Askerhaus sounds great! And at 1TS, how could I resist! Does anyone have know where I can DEFINITELY meet Pocohontas? My Inlaws are Apache, and, at least IMHO, she's the one I want to see most!

Toontown also has Princesses available for photos/autographs.....you never know which ones, but it sounds like for you it doesn't matter.

I think others have mentioned that you can see many of the Princesses without a meal involved.....

Belle (and sometimes the Beast) in her blue dress in France (to see her in her yellow gown a meal at Akershus, CRT or 1900 is best bet)

Jasmine (and sometimes Aladdin and/or Genie) in Morocco

Sleeping Beauty/Aurora in France (usually closer to the buildings)

Mary Poppins in UK (ok, not a Princess but if she loves all Princesses, she probably loves Mary too)

Ariel in her grotto in MK

Cinderella - she's sometimes in Fantsyland, or Toontown (she's probably the hardest to find, CRT is assured, the other meals are a better chance)

Mulan - China

Snow White (occasionally with Dopey, the other dwarves are usually only at the super busy times and festivals) in Germany

I think that's all of them, lol. If her desire is simply to see as many of them as she can, then just do a lot of wandering around....those meals can be pricey and the amount of time that the Princesses spend at your table is very short.....the time you can spend with them getting autographs, pictures in the parks is much greater. And it's a lot easier to have a conversation too, those restaurants are noisy, lol.


A suggestion.....if you can afford it (maybe by avoiding those meals and seeing the Princess elsewhere).....treat her to Bibbidy Bobbity Boutique. It's about $50 plus tip for the smallest package which includes having her hair done up in a princess bun with a crown/tiara and makeup. It's about $10 more for her to have her nails done (my girls did their own nails and saved that cost, since they were paying for it themselves). If she has a favorite princess outfit, bring it from home. You can buy them at the park but that's as costly as a meal for several people! The "do" will last all day, and with a small amount of touchups we lasted the next day as well....so she'll get to BE a princess for 2 days at least......and the attention she gets from the CMs not to mention the characters she meets in those two days is a dream come true.

(Note, there are other hairdo's but if she's a princess at heart she'll want the crown, so that's the only one I detail here).

I just checked and Disneyshopping.com has several costumes for sale for about $40. Or, watch Disneyshopping and Disney stores right after Halloween, they are usually 1/2 off or more!

We met Pocahontas at the Conservation Station in the Animal Kingdom. Having visited Disney several times, this is the first and only time we've seen Pocahontas. Hope this helps!

I would do the Princess Breakfast in Norway, there are 4-5 Princess's there and the food is very good plus you can get in at 8:30 before the park opens
