Our kitchen sink is backed up. Tried Drano Max 3 times, snaked it through the wall, through the roof, and now thru the crawl space. No luck so far. Also tried to blow it out and suck it out with a wet/dry vac.

I'd really hate to call a plumber on a Sunday night. Any ideas?

wait till Monday morning?

Sorry I have no other suggestions.

Unless you can rent a plumbers snake..nope... I think you'll have to call!

did you take the trap apart?
if not try haveing someone hold the drain plug on one side while plunging or wet vacing the opposite side, preferably the side closeest to the j bend of the trap being the one vacuumed.. in a kitchen sink the second drain acts as a vent for the other when you try and un stop, btw,, do not add any other chemicals,, posible expoolsive reaction,,, also,,, if a plumber gets inviolved make s ure he knows what you pourerd in,, safety measure mainly:)

Thanks for the help. It's fixed now. We called my father who suggested going into the crawl space, finding the plug and unplugging it. COuldn't get the plug unplugged, but apparently there was a connection from the sink pipe to the sewer pipe. BF snaked that and WOOHOO it worked. Hopefully whatever was in there is dislodged now.

Froggy, those were all good ideas -- unfortunately none worked. BF took everything apart, plunged, snaked, wet vac'd...thank god my father suggested the crawl space. I really didn't need to shell out plumber money 2 weeks before vacation!

The upside, now we have a snake and an auger!
