Help please...Blue Bayou vs River Belle Terrace seating for F!

Just found out that our airline cancelled one of our flights, and so we have to change our plans a bit...we did have a reservation at Blue Bayou for Jan. 8th for Fantasmic!. Now we might not be able to see it until Sunday the 10th, and there isn't any seating available until 8:30, which is too late for my children. There is availability at River Belle Terrace though...is the seating still the same for BB and RBT? The only difference being the cushions for BB? Thanks for any info!

We loved our meal at the RBT and yes, the seating is the same. You do not get a cushion. We got great seats and it wasn't crowded at all.....but I think that is the last showing or close to the last showing of Fantasmic before it closes so expect it to be packed. Either way, in that whole section there really isn't a bad seat

Is there a flight out the day before that you could take? The airline should accommodate you without a fee since they cancelled the flight.

It's the flight on the way home that was cancelled. Now we have to stay an extra night, and pay for the hotel and food for another day. We have 5 day park hoppers, and it's way too expensive to add an extra day (almost $400 for the four of us). So instead of using our first park ticket on the day we arrive (the day we were going to see Fantasmic!), we'll save it for the extra day we are now staying. It may end up working out better because now we'll have 5 full days in the park instead of 4 full days and one late afternoon/evening. But the unfortunate part is the added expense. I'm going to call the airline again tomorrow to ask about compensation, but today I was told it was unlikely. Anyway, I did book RBT for the 10th, so now just crossing my fingers the weather cooperates!

I think we accidentally sat in RBT seating last July. (We had eaten at Blue Bayou). We had a great view and everyone was sitting, but partway through the show I realized we were the only ones that had cushions! I can't imagine our view being any better so I give it a thumbs up!

They're the same viewing area. They used to be separate, but were combined awhile ago. The only difference between RBT and BB (besides cost) is the seat cushion.

What Kender just said. Same area, but you pay a bunch more for a cushion. We've actually never done the meals for F!. We just grab a FP in the morning and then try to line up when the FP says to come back. The view is just about the same - you're sitting on the cement with a fence blocking your view. It's just that the FP section is a lot more crowded.

Thanks! That makes sense. We enjoyed our waterside table at Blue Bayou (my DS11 waved to every boat that went by and got so excited when he got waves back!) but the cushion wasn't really that big of a deal, I don't think. It was a nice un-crowded viewing area either way.
