We'll be at the BC 11/2-8 with PH tickets. DD's 10th bday is on 11/5 and this her first trip to WDW. We're on the DDP.

Yikes! I want it to be a really great 10th, of course, but am just so confused with all the EMHs, Fantasmics, Illumnations, Wishes etc. that seem to kind of dictate when to be at which park for the least amount of crowds. How to fit in special things with all that to consider?? I can't figure out what park schedule to do that week, so I have no idea where to go for bday meals on Thursday.

MK has MEMH (avoid that park altogether?). We're late risers and would probably want the last seating for bfast wherever we go. We could eat our way around the Food & Wine Fest. at Epcot for a meal if we go there, but is that park really a kid's dream day? Fantasmic that eve at 6:30, but does that mean DHS is extra crowded?

No CRT - DD isn't into princesses now. What about Ohana, CP or CM for bfast, maybe the Luau for a special dinner experience? Or should we go to DHS and catch Fantasmic at 6:30? We're night owls so if we did that, what could we do after it's over?

Yikes, again. I'm really drowning here. Can you help, please??

My DD will be turning 10 on our trip in Sept. I have us eating breakfast at CP in the a.m. (early entry into the park-first time) and then she hasn't fully decided on dinner yet-I've booked Park Fair but now she may want to do Brown Derby. Go figure!

I don't think the parks will be that packed during EMH in early Nov. I would pick the park you DD wants to spend her (free) birthday in and then plan accordingly.

While we may start our day at M.K. we will most likely end up at Epcot (or DHS if we do HBD). If you're concerned about park crowds you could go to Raglan Road at DTD-we really like that one.

I have to pickup DD at school right now, I can offer more suggestions later.

At 10 your DD is old enough to know which park she wants to be at for her Bday. Show her which restaurants and CS are there and let her pick....

i would recommend the hoop-d-doo over the luau IF that is what you would like to do as a special meal. another thing to keep in mind about the luau is it is outside albeit you are undercover. while it might not be cold, it can be chilly at night. i agree w/the others--let your daughter select.:yay:

Thank you! I hadn't even considered that it might be too cool for the luau! It's been so hot here it's hard to imagine anything below 90!

I'll definitely go with something else, then. I looked at DTD and Raglan's might be great for us - it looks fun and I lived in England for years, so the pub thing is a nice reminder of my 20s! Then we could do the Characters in Flight balloon afterward.

I did talk with DD the other day about what she wants to do on her birthday and, of course, the rides she really wants to go on are split between three different parks. I don't think we can park hop that much, but I'll encourage her to pick one (or two).

Thanks for your help - and Diznydaz, happy birthday to your DD. Hope your Sept. trip is fab!

We been to disney for a few birthdays, most places sing and bring cupcakes. However dd really enjoyed spending her 11th b-day at Le Cellier. They made a really big deal about it. I think every server came over to sing which both delighted and embrassed her. They also bring very pretty b-day dessert and give you a card signed by all the servers.

You're welcome. Sounds like a good plan. :goodvibes Hope your DD has a fab birthday as well! We're having 2 birthdays while there. DD on 9-19 and DM on 9-22. DM picked Tutto Italia for her dinner. Actually it was one of DD's choices as well.

Hope you have a wonderful time and :welcome: to the boards! It's addicting!

It's my DS 's 10th B'day on the 4th! :cool1: We've never been, so I am letting him "control" the day...I asked him which park he most wanted to see and he said DHS (star wars fan!) So that narrowed down the dinner choices.. we are actually going to do 50's prime time for an early lunch (11:20) and then later catch the boat to the Boardwalk for a Beaches and Cream Kitchen sink. He's been having fun showing his grandparents and friends the you-tube video of this being made! Can't wait! See you in the parks!:cheer2:

LOL For my Daughters Birthday we hopped to all 4 parks in one day. It was not a bad day just remember to leave the park open latest for last. We had the birthday pin (a free pin you can get at your hotel or guest services at each park) and she got free drinks, brought to the front of the line at Jungle Cruise, and other small birthday "presents". The bus driver made everyone sing Happy Birthday to her on the bus. She loved it all.

As far as your meals and park schedule take a piece of paper for each day write parks across the top MK, AK, EPCOT, and DHS down each row write the hours for each park and parade and fireworks times (illuminations, fantasmic, wishes, spectromagic(parade) etc..) that way for each day you are at the parks you know the hours and times of everything you want to do. Take the paper with you each day incase you decide to switch parks you dont want to leave AK at 5 and head to DHS and have it close at 6 you wouldnt make it in time.
Ok as far as dining goes choose your resteraunts then call into Disney and see whats available on what days focusing first on Thursday of course. With a park hopper you can be some what flexible in where you go. Just leave yourself enough time to Hop parks. Good Luck!!
