I would really appreciate some feedback. My DD17 and I will be at WDW mar 11-18 and can't decide where to have dinner when at MK.....

We are not fussy eaters except we don't like seafood....

I would love to hear your comments, especially if you have been to both.

Thankyou

We were at both last week, and they were our favorite two meals for our trip! I think I liked Whispering Canyon a little bit more, just because I dont like those little chicken wings, and I dont like broccoli. But we ate so much at both, I thought I would die!! :rotfl: I liked our waiter way more at Whispering Canyon too. We are booking both again for next year when our 180 days comes up!! If I had to pick one, I would honestly have to flip a coin!!

thought Whispering Canyons was a hoot!! and the food (got the skillet) was terrific. Beyond hated 'Ohana, DD and I went in Sept and could not wait to get out - ate practically nothing - food literally thrown on the table and our plates. We've been to a lot of WDW restaurants and 'Ohana is really the only one to which we'd never return. Just my opinion though, many people love it, just not us!

Not fussy..well either one of these two would be fine as many people do enjoy these two restaurants. Personally these two were the two lowest performing experiences during our last trip. I would individuals to consider California Grill, Citrico's, Kona Cafe or even Artist Pointe before WCC or Ohana.

Thank you for info..glad to know either one is good...

So from what I read you didn't like the service ...what did you not like about the food... thanks for input

We were at Whispering Canyon on the 4th and personally I wouldn't go back. It could have been the fact that we didn't have a very 'lively' dining room...no one brought ketchup when asked, etc. But on top of this, our food took 1 1/2 hours to arrive at our table after being ordered and was really just 'fair'. I think I'll try o'hana's next time.

Both are great...to me, it's about the environment and experience beyond the food. The mono drops you at the Poly, the food is great and the tropical ambiance with the Hawaiian musical artist cannot be duplicated (Tuesday thru Sat)...the atmosphere at the WL is awe-inspiring, but not as evocative to us. The food is solid. Either will be great, but if in March you are ready for a "tropical paradise" experience, the Poly wins!

Whispering Canyon is a fun, noisy place where the servers treat you with the gritty attitude of a pioneer. Kids will be runing around on ponies-on-a-stick with people hollerin' "yee haw," etc. Great for kids. The breakfasts are great.

Ohanas is a more relaxed, upscale tropical place. They will say "Aloha" to you at least 5 times and make you feel like "family" (Ohana means family in Hawaiian).

We liked both of these. We went to Whispering Canyon for lunch and dinner, and the dinner was much more lively. The breakfast at O'Hana was awesome.

I'm surprised at the responses. I would have guessed that O'hana's would be most folks reccomendations. I really love both places and will eat at both if I can ever make ADR's for our upcoming trip. I just really love the food and atmosphere of O'hana's the best. I'm not a big meat eater and really only eat a couple of the meats on the skewers. I also don't care much for wings, but I am truly stuffed when I leave. The food is really good. At WCC, the atmosphere is a blast. I'm just not so crazy about eating dinner there. The BBQ skillet is just not good to me. I've ordered other things off the menu at night and just found them to be OK. We've got to the place where we generally just plan to eat breakfast at WCC. The breakfast skillet is outstanding.

We've had dinner at both places three different times. NO question for us--'Ohana is better. All three times the food and service have been better. Atmosphere is more Disney too. WCC has had disappointing food and mediocre service. We've crossed it off our list.

I can't speak on O'Hana's as I've never been, but I had both breakfast, lunch and dinner at the Whispering Canyon and it was our favorite place to eat (besides dinner at Boma). My three year old still talks about Uncle Dave, our server and how funny he was. The food was outstanding at each meal and the servers were over the top friendly :)

Thanks everyone for your responses...much appreciated...

We are going with ' OHana's.....sounds like it might be a little more relaxing and easier to get to. Plus, when I called for an ADR OHana time was a better time for us. I will try Whispering Canyon on my next trip....

We ate at both and enjoyed both meals but to be honest I would do anything to go back to OHana's as we found the food and the experience amazing.

We just got back this week and ate at Ohanas for the first time. That was hands down my family's favorite place to eat! I have a 6 and a 4 year old and both of them loved the food! I would definitely go back again! I have not ate at the other place though, so can only give opinion on the one! I would highly recommend Ohanas!

We havent' been to Ohanas, but I would pick it over WCC any time. We thought WCC was way overrated as far as the food was concerned and the service was terrible (there for over 2 hours and it was just two of us).
