Help Needed: WL/POLY/POB

Hello,

We were booking a vacation for this Xmas a while back and wanted to stay in Wilderness Lodge or Polynesian and Portofino Bay for 7 nights/each. Our Travel Agent said that Portofino Bay was F/Booked, so we chose to stay at WL for 1 week and Polynesian for 1 week. We have now found out that a 'DELUXE POOL VIEW - 2 QUEEN BEDS OVERSIZED ROOMS WITH SOUND SYSTEM FAX AND VCP' has become available at Portofino Bay.

Should we reconsider?? and if so should we not stay at WL or Polynesian??

We have stayed at Portofino Bay before and loved it, and now the opportunity has arisen we want to stay there again, but which hotel in your opinion should we choose to 'do' with it?

I would bail on the Poly and go for the Portofino in a heartbeat! You can't really beat WL at Christmastime so don't get rid of that one. The Poly was a little to Hawaii 5-0 for us, and after visiting it during X-mas time, I just didn't feel the special X-mas feeling there. I also think that 2 weeks right by Magic Kingdom might be a little too long, My opinion might differ it you were talking about splitting the stay at another Disney resort over by Epcot or something along with WL. Now I know I'm in the minority here and lots of people on these boards love the Poly, but we didn't care fo it. I would give almost anything to stay at Portofino Bay. This is just my opinion, but nothing beats a new hotel, espescially when comparing it to one that's twenty or so years old!

I'd cancel Poly and switch to PBH!
