We'll be in San Diego Nov 17-21. We have one-day park hoppers & can only go to DL on Sat arriving around 3:00 pm staying till closing. Or arriving at ropedrop Sun and staying till 5:00 pm and drive back to San Diego. Can't arrive earlier on Sat - kids have soccer tournament. Can't leave later Sun - have to drive back to San Diego and have very early flight to NJ next morning. Have a room booked at HoJo's for Sat night. I am agonizing over which is best. HELP me decide!!!! Thanks!

I would advise going Sunday. Get there 1/2 before gates open. You will be able to see and do a lot more on Sunday especially in the mornings than trying to do it on Saturday. Saturdays are extremely crowded at DL. The only reason to do it on Saturday is if you want to see the fireworks but that will take a good chunk of your time.

I would go Sunday, unless you really want to see the fireworks(although maybe you can view the fireworks from Hojo) and Fantasmic. By getting there first thing, you'll be able to do a lot more first thing in the morning than you will late on a Saturday.

Ditto - you could certainly arrive at HOJO's Sat night in time to walk to DTD and see the fireworks from there Sat night - you wouldn't get the full effect - but you probably don't want to spend your limited park time waiting for 1-2 hours at the hub in the park to see them anyway on Sat night!
You'll get so much more done Sun, and the park won't be anywhere near as crowded!

Thank you for helping me decide. We'll go to DTD Sat night and watch the fireworks from there, and spend Sunday in the park from opening until dinnertime.
