We have a tripped booked for Dec 17-23 at CSR. Now they are expressing they are concerned it will be too cold..yada, yada, yada (and too crowded) and think they want to go in March next year...which is warmer and thinks it will be less crowded.

I have made all the PS for dinner, shows etc.....

What do you think?! Need opinions from those that have been during either of these times!!!! :confused3

I would stick with the December trip. The crowds will be small, and the weather should be good (thinks 70s in the daytime). Disney at Christmas can't be beat! I think that the pools are heated, so daytime swimming should be a go, but admittedly, the nights might be cool. The downsides to going in the off season is that many attractions are closed for rehab...One of the 2 water parks will probably be closed as well.

March, on the other hand, is not my favorite time to go. You can get much bigger crowds due to some Spring Breaks, and I think the weather can be more iffy. We went one year in early April and it was miserably hot! Not to mention the fact that you already have all the plans made for your December trip!

Whatever you decide to do, have a wonderful trip!

We usually go in March..I love March...but I would love to see WDW at Christmas time. I think your crowds would be fine. In MArch the weekends are packed!!! Forget doing MK on a Sat. The School/Spring breaks mean there are hordes of people everywhere. Last year we had ADR's for almost every lunch and dinner, and we saw lots of people being turned away. Did we have fun yea..but we were also up until 2:30 am at MK riding rides (like Dumbo that I have never gotten a chance to do before).

I say you can't go wrong...but I would give Christmas a chance. And plan a March trip in 07. Good Luck.
Weather wise March can be cool too..I always pack a pair of Jeans and a sweatshirt and 2 sweaters. In the mornings(for the 1st half of the month) I usually start in capris, tshirt and sweater, by lunch I can switch to shorts, and by 6:30-7:00 I am usually back to capris and a sweater. The last half of March I do shorts in the am/until 6:30...then capris. I am used to the cold (as I am usually escaping 30" of snow on the lawn in March)

You are also getting close to 45 days out if you booked a package...so becareful of penality. Is lack of money at issue, people might be looking for a few more weeks to get their act together (but they will end up spending their money over the holidays if the push the trip off to MArch).

I would stick with the planned December trip.....even though it is usually around 70 in FL in December, I would pack some warm clothes....DH went for Christmas one year and it was 20 degrees.....unusual...but it's always good to plan for worst case scenerios!

Disney in December simply can't be beat.

We go every December because the weather is great and the crowds are not bad. The park is decorated and the sights and smells will make you want to go back all next year. We have found cool days and warm days but always find time to swim. My kids (9,7,5 and 2) think it is great to get in the heated pools when it chilly at night. Mickeys Christmas party is awesome. A must do!

Any trip around spring break is a nightmare. I have been there on Christmas Day and had less crowd than March/April days. I have also found that you get more school trips in March with less parental supervision. It make a difference when you have small kids.

I highly recommend December. Its our favorite. We will be there ourselves in 34 days! Have a great time and enjoy the holiday celebrations around the world at Epcot!

I just wanted to say I'm sorry your family is making you crazy. My in-laws are making me crazy. They are coming with us on our next trip and like to debate everything I say and every plan I make. I'm thinking of moving and not telling them. Maybe you could do the same.

Stick to December! WDW in December is a Must See! The decorations are simply incredible. The weather in FL in March can range from almost bearable to absolutely miserable. The crowds at WDW in December are better than the Spring madness of March.

i think either time would be a great time to go
