How exciting for you and Tom!!!! I am trying to get a vacation planned for this year and can't get our DD and DSIL to agree on what we'll do. I told them if they can't make up their minds I will book a Disney cruise!!!

Isn't it fun that even though we planned different resorts, we will be staying at the same one again this year - unfortunately we will have moved out before you move in, but we won't be far away at BLT!

Elaine, you have a wonderful array of resorts on your list for the summer!
Kidani should be wonderful (it's on our "to do" list too, but we stayed at the AKL shortly after it opened) and BLT is a great location too! We cannot wait to stay there in two and half weeks - our FIRST DVC stay!!!
And since you are trying other resorts, we will stand in for you at OKW. We just love it there!
And we definitely have to meet in the summer! I am so looking forward to it. ]

The only problem is that we always stopped to look at the aminals on the savannah and that took time away from us getting to the parks at a reasonable time. Howie loves OKW...he says it doesn't feel like home until we get there, if it were up to him we would stay there all the time. I wanted a change so that's why we are staying at Boardwalk 1 bedroom for the first time. You will have to tell me about your experience at BLT.

There are lots more of them in my trip report from last year if you are interested - I am just reviewing our days on the DREAM.

And for single digits - we leave in 8 days (like you I think ) and we cannot wait to meet you, your husband and lovely Jenna on board of "our" DREAM!

for single digits....I am so jealous. We stayed at Kidani before the cruise and really liked it. The only problem is that we always stopped to look at the aminals on the savannah and that took time away from us getting to the parks at a reasonable time. Howie loves OKW...he says it doesn't feel like home until we get there, if it were up to him we would stay there all the time. I hear you on the stopping and looking at animals at AKL! We have never spent so much time on a balcony than at AKL - it was so interesting to watch animals at any time of the day.
And I can so understand that Howie says it doesn't feel like home until he gets to OKW - we have the same feeling.
I'll definitely let you know about BLT - we are so excited to stay there - our first DVC stay!

Kinda..sort of..yes, no.. maybe Actually the planning is between myself and another disfriend. She and her group and me and mine. We hope to get adjoining rooms (at least) if not connecting. We know the when.. but it is the where that is a big thing we still need to work out Also.. she has me considering doing the TOT 10miler. Actually... maybe even a bit more than considering it. I am alternating between being terrified and excited. I am not a runner... :scared and I assume it will take quite a bit of training. She and I would be the only ones in either group doing the run. Her group has AP's where as mine does not. Another issue is meal plans. CS vs TS... so yes.. we are going.. but not sure exactly what the plan is. I do think we at least have settled on staying on property... and probably one of the host hotels. That means.. no POP, but maybe... just maybe POFQ We will have to see how the financials work with it...

Yay for staying on property! Are you taking Zoe? Is POR a host resort, as I am sure Zoe would love to stay in one of the new Royal Rooms.
Whoops forgot ....... you had a not so fun experience at POR some time back.

Yip we are excited, super duper excited!
Our winter has taken a turn for the "cold" - the real cold and I am SO not happy with it. I cannot wait to get into a warmer climate and swimming at CC sounds like heaven to me!

The other day I was deep in escapism (it's been a rough two weeks) and I started looking at plane fares, train fares, time/space portals (well, not time portals though who wouldn't mind a trip in the TARDIS) to go down to Orlando for Presidents' Week and one of the things that occurred to me was that I could maybe meet up with you two. Put a huge smile on my face. Alas, the reality of the cost of plane/train fares brought me back to reality.

Princess Pixie is staying at the same cat hotel we had her at last summer. She quite enjoyed her summer stay and so we asked if they would have her again. Even though they were "booked" she got in and she even got HER room again!
Yes, they dedicate ONE room to each cat. It's really catfriendly with lots of things to climb on and play with.

Oh, it would have been so nice if you could have come ot WDW for President's week - even though the parks are packed. But we could have had lots of fun together over a good meal. Maybe one day ..... we WILL finally get to meet.

Hope that Orlando warms up for you! The temps yesterday were 32 degrees F. That's cold! It's supposed to start warming back up at the end of the week!
