HELP!!!!!! More Disney Dreams to fulfill! 09/04 Exciting news!

Your suite looks very nice; love the red kitchen. How cool is that? :thumbsup2 The BLT looked super yummy, but I love BLTs. One of the best things about summer, in my opinion, when the tomatoes are fresh here. And I love that grey Mickey sweatshirt, too!

Nice looking suite :)

Stitchy merchandise!!! Too cute :teeth:

So how does the French version of EoS compare to the US version?

Congrats on your Eastern Caribbean cruise, so exciting :teeth:

It is so fun to see pictures of a brand new park (to me!). That Earl of Sandwich building is beautiful!

I think it's great that you are both so flexible with your schedule. It's nice that you were able to get a little more sleep and then take a relaxed pace in the morning. Can't wait to see more pictures!

It always amazes me to see how similar the parks are and then they are yet so different (if that makes sense ;)).
When we last went to Paris they were just starting building works on the new EoS and we were SO looking forward to eating there - we were missing something like EoS in Paris. Now, if they added a WPE to the Disney Village I might consider moving there! :rotfl2:

The thing with being flexible with a schedule is that we get to go often (and stay for an extended time at least in the US parks) so we do not need to fit everything into that one visit ..... there will always be a next one and usually it is already in the planning stages when we visit.
And then we have already done all the rides and we don't mind not riding something if the wait would be too long. So much else to see and do! :thumbsup2

Great update. Looks like the Disney store there has some cute stuff!

Thanks, Ann.
We were absolutely amazed as they had a lot of new merchandise and we loved finding those new things.
They do have different stuff than the ones in the US too! :thumbsup2

We were pretty happy with the room. The "hotel" is relatively new and there weren't too many photos around, so we were not too sure on what to expect. But we felt right at home in there.
I loved the kitchen too and you could "pull out" the table too. We would go back there in a heartbeat! :thumbsup2

They had some cute merchandise and there is a HUGE chance that a special little Mr. Max could be the proud owner of a DLRP T-shirt by the end of March. ;) (That is if I do not forget to pack it! :rotfl2:)

It was a pretty nice room, with a wonderfully peacefully view out over the resort from the balcony! :thumbsup2

There was lots more Stitch merchandise! The French seem to love him - so many fun things with him on it! Bring an empty suitcase when you next visit, so you can take a lot of Stitchy things home! :thumbsup2

Apart from the French descriptions EoS is exactly the same as in the US! :thumbsup2 We really enjoyed it!
In the US WPE ALWAYS wins over EoS and here in Paris it is our favourite option - comfort food ...... and at least the name reminds us of Britain! ;)

Lots of new stuff - Part 2

The bag check line for Disneyland Park was huge, so we walked a few steps over to the Studios bag check line, got through the check point and then just walked back over to Disneyland Park.

We always use the entry on the far right because there are less people and this is where we went. The skies were blue, we were in a really good mood and within a few minutes we were back at another Disney park.

There were quite a few people in the main square but then we saw the double decker bus pulling up and we decided to get in line and hitch a ride to the hub. We were pretty lucky to get the last two seats on the right side of the upper deck and enjoyed our leisurely trip to the castle.

The Indiana Jones ride was closed and so we headed on over to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. The standby line was 80 minutes and that is just too much for me, so we picked up a Fastpass, which was good for around midday. We were still discussing what to do and on our way over to Phantom Manor when we realized that the Riverboat was just loading passengers and so we got in line and got on.

Yay on starting with EoS and love the Disney Store merchandise.

Wow DLP has changed so much - I went when I was in my teens and it looked completely different!

Cool that you got the last two seats on the bus, not a bad way to travel down Main Street :) Love love love the Stitchy pumpkin pic, so cute! :teeth:

It is so neat how similar yet unique DLRP looks. Mainstreet...just a bit different?

I also notice people are bundled up. I guess I had not thought about it before, but Paris has a cold season... unlike DL or WDW where the temps are often high year round.

I always enjoy seeing your DLPR pictures.

How exciting to have EOS too. MMMM I wish they would build one here

We were really happy with our restaurant choice for breakfast.

Yes, it has changed from its earlier days. But it still is nice to have a little bit of Disney magic right here in France, even though DLRP cannot be compared to the US parks.

We haven'd done this in a long time, so when we saw the opportunity to be driven down main street we just went for it! :lmao:
You know what, Stefy ....... when Tom took that photo YOU WERE part of the conversation! :rotfl2:

We always joke about how similar, yet so different DLRP is. I mean the layout is about the same, some of the rides are very similar, but then it all is quite different, don't know if that makes sense? ;)

Yes, DLRP experiences different seasons. It gets pretty cold in the winter and we have experienced "real" snow more than once! :goodvibes

I am glad you like the photos of DLRP. We take so many things for granted, but taking photos for my DIS friends we discover a quite a few more nice details! :thumbsup2

Yes, EoD is such a neat addition to the restaurants in the Disney Village! We were so happy when they announced building the restaurant there! :thumbsup2

Paying to visit the restroom is a regular thing here in Europe - you will find those "pay toilets" a lot in many countries. :rotfl2:
But no, we did not pay, just visited! :lmao:

In England in my youth toilets had slots for a PENNY! From that the English still have the expression "I got to spend a Penny" when they need to go POTTY!!!:rotfl2:

Just a short real life update, to let you know why I wasn't online much yesterday. :goodvibes

I did lots of grocery shopping yesterday morning, then had lunch at Tom's, where we decided to use the afternoon and look for the new slatted frames and mattresses we needed.
Now, we have been thinking (and talking) about replacing the ones we had for a long time, but we never really got going and always left it for "tomorrow".
So yesterday we finally made our mind up and visited one of the mattress stores in our area.
We could not believe it, when the shop assistant told us that both the slatted frames and mattresses we wanted were available and we could take them with us right away.
That made me ask about a frame and mattress for myself as well. You see I have a bed with unusual measurements and whenever I asked at a furniture store they told me that those had to be ordered, would take around 6 - 8 weeks and were very expensive. About as expensive as two flights to the US were, so the flights always won! :rotfl2:
Now, to cut this story short - they even had those in stock and we bought 3 frames and 3 mattresses. When we sat down to settle the bill, the shop assistant surprised us with a 25% discount!! :woohoo: as much as I like shopping, I LOVE  a good discount.
So we loaded Tom's frames and mattresses (and the new pillows and duvets he got) into his car and took everything home. My frame does not fit into his car, so a friend of ours is picking it up on Wednesday, but we got my matress and we both slept heavenly on our new purchases ...... and by the way the mattresses are called DREAM! :rotfl2:

We were on a shopping high and since Tom needed a new landline phone we drove to an electronics shop at the other end of town. He found a phone he really liked, then he started looking at some tablet PCs (hope that's the right name). He always wanted to have one and after saving some money on the mattresses we decided that he should just get one. So he got one that he can convert into a netbook and he is VERY happy with it. I got myself a cooler pad for my laptop too!

So yesterday was a day of heavy shopping. We were both so tired in the evening, I just wasn't up for posting much.
But I am trying to catch up today! :thumbsup2

I do remember those, Rosie .......... only difference ....... they would take much more than a penny! :rotfl2:

Sounds like you guys really scored some deals! Congrats!

These really were a penny and on a saturday morning when we went to the local Movie House/theatre along with admission we always got a "penny":rotfl2: Now if you were smart you would wait till someone came out and zip in and save the penny for candy:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Karin I've been wanting an iPad, I think I am messing up my eyes looking at this iPhone all the time!

Sounds like you and Tom had a great time shopping.

Hi Karin! You really had a busy day. So happy you slept so well on your Dreamy mattresses!:cloud9:

I checked all the receipts today and we really saved a lot (for Mickey! :rotfl2:). Only today I realized that they had a 10% off of everything deal at the electronics store too - yeah for saving more money! :thumbsup2

excellent shopping day. I can see why you were not up for posting much. ;)

Hauling all the stuff up into the house was quite a bit of work! We were both done in the evening - but it was worth it! :goodvibes

It was a very successful shopping day! :lmao: Lots of money spent, but on the other hand we got some good deals too! :goodvibes

Tom is really happy with his new "toy". He showed me some of the gadget he already has on it today ....... and you are right, it is MUCH easier to read the DISboards on it than it is on his phone! :lmao:

Hi Karin! You really had a busy day. So happy you slept so well on your Dreamy mattresses!:cloud9:

Something that is called DREAM MUST be good! :lmao:
I cannot believe we were so lucky and decided to go shopping that particular day! So many nice discounts. :cloud9:
Every penny saved is a penny for Mickey ;) (not that he needs it! :rotfl2:)
