Help me to help myself!

It is a difficult time of year for the old stress levels anyway !!:hug: You havent let anyone down - maybe just approach it in a different way! Different things work for different people:hug:

You havent let anyone down:) I have smoked for about 15 years, the only time i managed to stop was when i was pregnant went for approx till they were 6 months old then started again.I managed to stop in sep 2004. In Dec 2005 our ds was diagnosed with autism, that sent me flying to the shops for cigs. We booked ourselves a holiday for oct 2006 to wdw and i promised myself by the time i got there i would stop....never did and smoked through our feb and sept 2007 trip. Giving up numerous times for a day a few days or a week or so, kidding myself i would just have the ten i had bought. Then 4 weeks ago tomorrow I had my last cig, stuck on the patches and i can now say....Hello my name is louise and i am a non smoker:cool1: You will do it, you might slip every now and then and give yourself the excuses , but if you want to do it you will. Its not easy and everytime the stress levels go up you want to reach for them, but you wont because you are not going to let them beat you:) Good luck and if it gets tough put on a disney dvd, get thepopcorn:: out and let go of the stress:hug:

Remember nicotine is a powerful substance. Like any substance that you need it can take a while to kick the addiction.

Take it very slowly, don't set yourself unrealistic targets that you can't keep. If you break them, then you will just feel even worse, have a cigarette and the cycle continues.

I have every faith in the fact that if you really want to kick the habit you will:hug:
