help me!!!!!!!!! resort change ahhhh!! PLEASE HELP!!!!!

ok so heres the deal we were origanally supposed to be staying at the wilderness Lodge august 4th to the 11th but we booked it through Expedia instead of Disney so today we got a call that sinse disney didnt honor us they were over booked for that time.

so were going to be staying at Saratoga Springs which is beautiful super nice and is for Vacation club members (which we arent) so were getting an upgraded stay. but its a one bedroom which is wonderful for two people... but the thing is theres 3 of us so i would be staying on the pull out queen and dont get me wrong im just glad to be going. but my dad knows this is bothering me about not sleeping in a bed for a whole week because i dont do well on sleeper sofas. ~~ SO MY DAD IS LOOKING INTO A TWO BEDROOM~~~( and no im not a spoiled brat) i was just looking forward to the WL i mean everyday i was looking at the lodge online etc. and then all of a sudden plans change 10 days before we leave. and im 16 and havent been to disney for about 6-7 years so i was excited. and well the location isnt that great atleast i dont think so WL was a boat ride to Magic kingdom and just a small bus ride to other parks well SS is in downtown disney pretty much. and were only gonna be eationg dinner the first night there and the rest we have planned dinners in Epcot Animal kingdon etc.

I know that saratoga is BEAUTIFUL AND SUPER NICE. but i guess im just bummed about all the sudden changes.

so if anyone has ever stayed at SS please give me info and get my hopes back up for my disney world trip!!!!

Saratoga Springs is a lovely resort, and the 1br will be almost twice the size of a standard room at the Wilderness Lodge.

You will also have a full kichen and a washer and dryer in your unit.

The bathrom is enormous with a large whilpool tub and a separate shower.

We stayed in a 1br @ Saratoga Springs last March with a family of 5 and had plenty of space.

My husband and I slept on the pull out and it was very comfortable.

For $140/night you got a great deal!

actually im not bummed anymore because Saratoga Springs is wonderful i guess i was just worried about all the sudden changes. so im very excited to got to Disney that i dont have time to sweat the small stuff only 7 days to go!

As for proximity to the parks, you're closer to Downtown Disney. It really isn't a long ride to any of the parks. Maybe a half hour to the Magic Kingdom if there is a lot of traffic. And that's probably the furthest away. You're pretty close to Epcot and MGM. Animal Kingdom is a little further. You're also close to Typhoon Lagoon. Blizzard Beach is almost as far as Animal Kingdom. But the area you are going to be staying in is lovely. The view of Downtown Disney at night is great.

It's never fun to deal with last minute changes to ressies. I mean, we all plan and dream and plan some more about the place we're staying. Sounds like you'll still have a great time, though. Have fun!

I agree i was bummed about all the sudden changes but once i researched and talke to some DISers i grew to like SSR more than WL so thanks im pretty sure i will have a blast!
