Help me pleeeeeeeese....

We are now switching our whole itinerary around because of the change in Disney hours. We were thinking of going immediately to IOA upon arrival on the 23rd of November at around 1:00pm and then on Saturday, the 24th, going to Univ. St. Is it going to be crowded on the weekends? We were initially going to go to IOA on Sunday and Univ. St. on Monday. If we went on Friday and Saturday then we could enjoy the more crowded disney parks, i.e., EPCOT and MK on Sunday and Monday.

Which plan of attack would be less crowded for both WDW and Univ. St. parks???

You have to give us more info on what you like to do (thrills or shows), and number of adults/children in your party with their ages. And do you get all of Monday (leave Tuesday)?
Let's see, you want to see 4 parks in 3.5 days. There is no way you can see IOA in 4 hours on a Friday afternoon. Just can't be done. Each park really takes an entire day if you want to see everything. Which goes back to what you like to do.

Me? I'm a thrill ride person. So I'd visit Epcot on that Friday afternoon, Universal on Saturday (shows and movie rides are not that crowded and have a high capacity), MK on Sunday (most people start their vacation on Monday), and IOA on Monday (everyone is at MK).

Oh sorry about that.

It's four adults going and we'll be in FL until December 2nd.

At IOA the only rides we'll probably go on is the barge's, maybe Jurassic park, the triceratops encounter if it's open, Poseidans' Fury, and the stunt show. Maybe also Spiderman. Other than that I won't go on anything and my parents certainly won't either. We won't even go on the cat in the hat because it spins.
So definitely no thrill rides for any of us.

I really thought that we could easily do this park in 5 hours. Unless of course it's extremely crowded. If this isn't possible maybe we'll do Sat and Sun for IOA and Univ. St. Save Friday afternoon for Epcot. Then we could do MK on Monday.

Sorry If I'm being confusing. That's only BECAUSE I AM CONFUSED!!!!

Back the train up a moment...!!! There can be no "maybe also Spiderman"!!!

Spiderman is by far, one of the BEST attractions EVER (it's the best I've ever experienced)!!!! And on top of that, it's not a "thrill" ride, and pretty much anyone should be able to handle it!!! It's incredible, not to be missed...awesome...

Do it!

Sounds to me tho, that 4 or 5 hours would be fine at IOA for you...especially without kids who can sometimes get sidetracked by the Camp Jurassic Play area! We were at IOA recently on a Friday afternoon and it wasn't bad, crowd-wise, but then, you're talking about the day after T-giving...still, I think you'd be fine. Will you be AT the park by 1? Also, yea, I agree that WDW parks would be more crowded on Fri. and Sat...especially Sat.
If it were me, I'd go with your IOA plan Fri, USF Sat., EPCOT Sunday and MK Monday...locals are a BIG draw for the Magic Kingdom...so any weekend day is probably going to be busier than a Monday, IMO.

LOL....I won't go on spiderman!! I don't like the motion simulators at all. Even Dinosaur I HATED with a passion. I can't even remember any of the ride and my husband has the claw marks in his thigh to prove my stress level of having to ride it.
I'll never go on it again.

However, my DH loves spiderman. He says it's the best ride EVER made. And I'm sure it is although I'll be taking his word for it.

I don't think he'll be getting my parents on that with him. They are in their mid 60's and are not the venturous type. Well I guess I'll do like you said. IOA on Friday, US on Sat, Sunday Epcot and Monday MK.

I think that will work out just fine. As long as it's not crazy crazy crowded. I was anticipating a very short day at IOA because of the lack of rides/attractions that everybody would be willing to go on.

Just checked park hours for IOA and US...for the friday and saturday that we will be there they've extended the hours to 7:00pm instead of 6:00pm. If this stays like this it even helps us accomplish more in the 1/2 day at IOA. If we get there by 2:00pm latest...that still gives us 5 hours to do everything. Although I'm hoping that we will be there at least by 1:00pm.

Figaro, I would NOT compare Spiderman to Dinosaur. Dinosaur made we queasy as heck but I've ridden Spidey back to back without a problem. Listen to your DH, he knows the deal!

Dinosaur and Spider-Man aren't the roughest rides. Back to the Future is, and boy is it fun!

Back to the Future is kind of rough but it really depends on where you sit in the car. I sat in the back on the right side and it destroyed by shoulder! So now if you see a short lady pushing her kid on the DeLorean's front seat, it's ME!

Oh man!! Robin I do the same thing!! I'm that same Mom nudging my son to move quicker to get the front seat! Sorry if we cant get the front seat we dont ride! That back seat gave me a huge headache not to mention a neck strain. What a difference from the front seat to the back...I never have a problem in the front seat.

Well, I had surgery on my left shoulder so needless to say that bang bang bang sort of took away the thrill of the ride...

Needless to say I was in PAIN when I got off that one!

I've heard of people having trouble with their heads banging on the back of the car also but I'm not tall enough for that problem!

I'd like to join in on urging Figaro30 to try Spiderman.

Technologically, it's a quantum leap forward from the Disney motion simulators. I get queasy on Star Tours but can ride Spiderman again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again...well, you get the idea.

Does the car actually move around alot? Does it rise and fall? Spin around? If it did this I wouldn't like it. If it doesn't move that much that I can probably deal if I need to shut my eyes. I won't go on the cat in the hat or MIB because I hear that they spin sometimes. I like the pooh ride at MK but if it bounced anymore times than it already does I probably wouldn't go on that either.

I'd love to hear more details about the actual movement of this ride. If anybody can fill me in I'd appreciate it.

In Spiderman the car itself does not move a lot. It's mostly done with the visual effects which are FANTASTIC!! If it gets to be too much you can just shut your eyes and you won't feel much of anything. It's an awesome experience. Give it a try.

I lost many years of fun at the parks due to an ear condition that I got at the pool at poly in 1974. I had a severe mastoid infection that caused a large bone loss and resulted in a very weak inner ear. After this, for many years, I could not go on any of the rides with any motion, even rides such as Big Thunder Mtn., etc.
I went to a new doctor after I moved. It was right before another trip to WDW and I explained my problem. He told me to try this:
Take one Dramamine (sp?) 45 minutes before entering the park. I did and it made me dizzy and queezy for about four hours. So he told me to try and cut it in half and take the half 45 minutes before the park and another half after three hours. Worked like a charm! Ever since, I have been able to do all the rides except the Teacups. I put cotton in my sensitive ear to keep the wind out, take my half-pills and I can handle anything. I've done MIB, Back to the Future, RnR, etc. and had no problems. It has me made all of the parks so much more enjoyable!

You might also want to try Bonine. It works just as well on motion sickness and doesn't seem to cause as much drowsiness. Try it at home first and see how it effects you.

Didn't CoasterFEV and Earl mention some rides that had cars that DON'T spin? I can't remember all the details, except that you may request these cars on some rides.
Should make every effort to see Spiderman though!! Doubt you'll regret it!
